The bad thing about the Depot is it is so dang dark in there you can't see your food and the service is terrible unless you sit at the bar.

I would love to see a nice steak house like an Outback or Roadhouse come here. To get a decent steak you have to go to Shiloh's and they aren't that great.
OMG.. I totally agree with you. A great steakhouse. THAT would be really hard, since the "one you mentioned" has a lot of "pull" around here. Outback would be awesome! An actual steak house with atmosphere. Olive Garden, etc. Can you imagine some nice places where you actually sit down and enjoy a meal.
I know we have a lot of fast food joints because of travelers, but geesh.. enough! LOL. jmo

I agree with you. I would like that to. We do need something decent here. We also need a new grocery store. Mabey a Meijers or Engles or mabey even target. There is ground breaking beside Corbin Walmart but I don't know exactly what its going to be just yet. Many are saying its going to be another truck wash and I certainly hope not. We already have one. I mean why build another. Just like speedway on falls highway. We already have one but a new one being built. Why not 7-11 or something. Why not?

If so, then I would like to see meijers go in the old truck was location. Meijers would defintly be perfect there. Corbin needs to grow or else our local economy will crumble. Most citys and towns are growing in the state except Corbin. I am all for change in Corbin.

That'd be awesome but I won't believe it til I see it. Corbin needs to broaden their horizon! We need new things and need to grow. It's still like the hillbilly days around this place.
I agree with you.

I don't want more chain restaurants. Would love to see some locals get involved and start up a steak house. I support local places like the Dixie, Pizza and Company and Froyoz. Would like to have an option for steak.
Pleased

You are not going to get a large box store in the Laurel County side of Corbin until Laurel goes wet.

What is it! Oh I see. All of a sudden everyone wants to start hating on my last comment about Corbin. Well people you might not want to except it but its the truth. Corbin is falling in crumbs. I cant believe you people see it right in front of your own eyes and you still disagree with me. Face it people. You know how Corbin is and you don't want to face the facts. Look at every place Corbin tears down. What do they do with the empty spot. They never build anything back in its place. How dumb is that??? You people hate my comment cause you know the truth about Corbin. I want change to so what is wrong with that?

What I cant understand is that why cant they change the stupid law they have here in Kentucky about the Tri-County. It doesn't make any sense. Why cant they just change the law and annex Corbin into the city limits. In other words simply "Why cant they change the old law they have had for several years?" What keeping it from being changed?

Everyone can forget about any new nice restaurants coming to Corbin. The city restaurant tax is a turnoff to corporations and they won't even think about it in rural areas like this. The real estate at exit 29 is tied up (Forcht $$$)and that is the best chance the Corbin area has for attracting new restaurants.
I'm sure this will be poo-pooed by some but it is still the truth.
Well

He and I both are high school graduates and both in college, people don't want to hire people who are smart, they want to hire a bunch of smart ass teenagers who run places down hill in this town!!!! Not everyone is this town is sorry asses some of us bust our ass just to survive and then there's people like you who like to talk like you are some big shot asshole, like you hold a lot of ground in this community. I don't care you stupid idiots. Judge my comment as bad. All I was talking about is the stupid tri-county law that Corbin has and some stupid person had to come along and mark my comment as spam. Doesn't anyone have a right to their own opinion on here. Whats the problem with you people!!!

Oh is that right you dick head! Let me tell you something. If that was so, then how come their are people going to these so called help wanted places and not getting the job! Can you answer that? Its like a discrimination type of thing. Corbin hires people that are rude asses and they don't give a shit about people that try their damn best at things. You or anyone can spam my comment all they want but I don't give a shit. Im just here to state the true facts and most people know how the city of Corbin is. Its a shithole.
