Why do people that have hunting dogs that bark all the time move into neighbor hoods with people living around them it was peaceful around hear to my uncle rented to a family of coon hunters plus they raise dogs to sell and on top of that they burn their trash in a giant pill off garbage it dosent matter if it burns or not they throw it in the pill it stinks and I have to look at it everyday, had to run them off a while back they where behind my house running over trees trying to build four wheeler trails I've been living here all my life and it takes a few people to destroy a good thing, some people?

Same situation where I live, they have so many coon dogs in cages on chains and they never stop barking. All day all night I'm wondering if they ever sleep. This people have neighbors on every side, and I'm on one side. I have children that go to school I dont think they have had a full nites sleep since we have lived here I know I haven't. We can't go outside and enjoy our yard not only the barking but oh my how it stinks. I just bought my house a few years back wish I would have looked into it a bit more but now I'm stuck!! It would be very hard to sell. On top of all the dogs these people have they don't even try to make there place look good it looks like a junkyard around it. They have NO RESPECT for anyone.

Not only do my neighbors dogs bark continually and drive everyone around insane. I noticed just a few days ago that at least one of them is about starved to death. I am so freaking mad no call for this at all!!!!!!!! If you can't afford them or are to lazy to take care of them GET RID OF THEM. They have way to many I think they are hoarders. I have been going over twice a day and feeding the one but I can't feed all of them. If I sit back and do nothing I am as guilty as them. Don't know what to do!!!!!! It's very heartbreaking!!!!!!!!!

Have you tried calling the pound or sherriffs office one or the other maybe even both may help you. That is so sad. Good luck!

Concerned......Same thing is happening here. The folks are letting the dogs starve. One is loose some and we try to feed it.
And the others bark all the time. One looks like its chain is maybe 2 ft long.

Private message these people on this FB link. They will do everything in their power to help. As far as calling the LC Sheriff or the animal shelter, good luck with that!! They would never respond.

But they DO respond when the animal rights people get involved. The animal rights people can get the LC Sheriff to do something simply because they are able to cause much more bad publicity for them if they DON'T help.

Bad publicity=not reelected.

Thanks for the comments! The pound has been contacted by at least 4 different neighbors said they couldn't do anything also sheriffs office said the same thing. I hadn't been on here for a few days but will private message the Facebook link first thing in the morning, thanks so much. Hopefully something can and will be done soon.

Has it ever crossed your mind that they may be barking because they are hungry and being mistreated... can you see theses dogs ? Do they look healthy??

I've called laurel co sheriffs office unless a dogs bites you or a kid they wont talk to you. So thats useless if one of my kids get bit all heck would break out. Some dog owners just dont care what their dogs do if some of the one's in office had to live beside some of what we go through something would get done but they don't so they don't care. One person said buy better windows for your homes well the one's with the darn barking dogs should have to buy us good windows so we dont have to listen to his dogs. If I lived in a neighborhood that I had to have guard dogs to let me know someone was breaking in my home I'd move. Problem solved we all cant afford to move because we can't get anything done with people that dont take care of their animals. The animals aren't to blame it's the idoits that own them. They should have to wear a shock collar and everytime their dogs bark light them up with a shock. How long do you think they'd let them bark if they had to be the one's to suffer the pain. That seems like a better idea than letting the dog get shocked be a lot less barking going on if all night long their shock collar went off and they got knocked out of the bed. How I would enjoy that if only we could get the owners ordered to wear a shock collar for only one night we would all live in quieter neighborhoods. Good thought anyway. Good luck everyone we have been dealing with the problem for years before we buy another home we will make sure to check it out better go sit for a 24 hour day to see what goes on before buying the house next time. I know easier said than done but we have all got a little wiser from what we are going thru.

I am so thankful to live in the city. I have had a couple of issues with neighbor's dogs and called city hall to complain. They have handled my complaints quickly and efficiently by promptly sending out a safety officer to check out the situation and track down the dogs' owners. They give them a warning and show them the city's ordinance which is being violated. Only one time have I had to report the same owner twice. No more dogs running free in the neighborhood and pissing in my yard and no more barking dogs! So thankful we have a mayor and police force that not only care about our quality of lives but the animals' as well.
