Ah the morning java welcomes me to another day. I'm just slumming the old neighborhood for a minute but it's nice to see several familar names this morning as the coffee drags me life.

Ya'll have a good one until next time.

Good morning, folks. Today is dawning bright and sunny. Makes the grass grow...poor Hubby has been mowing and weed eating. I need to learn to use our new mower. I used to mow the whole place on our smaller ZTR mower. Now Hubby has bought a new one and it's huge, and a bit intimidating. It is supposed to have a slow gear, but it seems to have two---fast and faster. And when you hit one of those crawfish mud mounds--poof and the dried mud goes flying. It dulls the blade, but we have some wet places, and you can't avoid them.

@ Betty: You have great ideas. I'll have to try some of them. I know what it is like to step on slugs..Squash!

@AW: Stein sends his regards to Dog. Stein is busy sleeping on the bed, head on pillow, as I type. He's got imitating humans down to a science.

Hope that everyone has a good day. I'll pop back in later. Lala

Yuck. My mother raised me alone, and we were poor when I was growing up. I had Spam up to my eyeballs during those days. These days, a lobster dinner is more appetizing to me, but not too often. It's not too cheap in central Kentucky. Living withing driving distance to the ocean, and inexpensive seafood, are the only things I miss about New England.
I don't mind the spam on topix threads. I just scroll by and hardly notice it at all.
I was in South Carolina for 8 years, and Baltimore for 2, I know what you mean about not getting good sea food, it's either frozen or you're paying for shipping...

But, some of the ways one can cook spam is pretty good.

Many things I guess are an acquired taste?

Anyone up for a little mundane instead of all this NOT so high level intelligence?..... Ok, I guess mundane is just in the eye of the beholder and one troll's trash is another's treasure. lol
Let's see.. rains came, grass grew, corn got planted, grass wasn't mowed, Betty's mower is broken, AB surely has a good cat video, and spam spasm has a new recipe. Does that about cover today's boredom?
I will sleep well knowing all is normal on the bird thread. LOL Good Night All.
I'm glad I didn't see this before you went to bed...

I'd hate to mess up your nice dreams and all

But, the corn ain't planted yet

Oh yes, my corn is planted and I don't really care about yours LOL Nothing you can post would ever mess up my nice dreams. The CREATOR offers too many blessings to allow some unknown poster to affect my life and living. LOL Have a good day!!

It is finally dry enough here that I can mow at least parts of my 2 acres and by the time I finish that, the sunshine should take care of the rest.

Calling for help from the big guy is sorta self defeating...

Try simply getting over your anger first

Just as you have no corn, I have no anger and I am not calling on the CREATOR for support. The CREATOR offers it freely to those that trust and believe and have respect for others as well as the CREATIONS.

I have survived many decades of those that think their intelligence will sustain them. But when the final curtain is drawn and the mind goes blank, what then? Will your intelligence live on? or was it all for naught? What will history and memories of you reflect?

I have about 1 1/2 acres finished and now to do the easy part. I always like to do the hardest part of any chore first and get that out of the way. Then it is smooth sailing.

Well if you were on the 1979 debate team, I am much closer to the end of the trail than you are and once a person rounds that last bend, they get a whole new perspective on what is really important and what is not. Most of what appears on these Topix threads is just entertainment and falls within the "NOT" category.

Yep. I just drop in here every now and again to see what you people are up to.
There's too much spring out there to be in here during the day unless its rainy.

Its good to see old humpaburn is still smoking.

It was dry the last two days, but we are headed for more rain. Not good. The lake looks like it's fixing to spill over into the homes that are built near it. I worry about that.

I'd like to say somethin to everyone. Well I bet that pi§§ed you all off. Am I as good as that bootleg?...hmmmm? I've seen some absurd stuff here, but a scoop-o-poop that spends part of the day telling folks on the net how he/she pissed them off now thats some gig! It seems to get awful exited too. Probably got its hand in its drawers right now.

Well I better get outta here, don't wanna pi§§ anyone off toooooo bad.

Well, if that is where your mind is, maybe that is what has you "excited?"
