The Tea Party is planning a candidate in every district, to run against them.

Not that I'm all for all this immigration into America, I don't know if you checked lately, but progressively they are becoming the #1 population. They've been here a long time...about 17M illegals, the majority of which came across during the GW administration and while he "portrayed" he wanted to do something, he did nothing except pass the "working visa" program under which about 12,000 per month were "allowed" in.....to never return. Therefore, they've had the jobs for a long time. I believe some time back even in your neck of the woods, a company was caught HOUSING them on premise for cheap labor and got busted. Last time I was down there, I saw a slew of them on a rooftop. They are here. They are working. They have been working. There is a chance that if some are legalized, they'll be working above the table vs below and can finally for once in their careers, help generate some revenue. The corporate junkies certainly aren't for it, because when they can raise their heads above ground, they might just make more demands on the corporate junkies that have been enslaving them and.....so goes their cheap labor.

I'm surprised that at least a few of you can't wake up and smell the roses of what has REALLY been going on. But I'm all over it if you can find enough coal trucks to load up 17M plus and deliver them back to Tijuana!

The Tea Party needs to stick to Lipton. That's about all their good for. Your money didn't talk during the election and it....still isn't talking and....won't.

Here's what I suggest you spend your time doing with all those billions you're wasting on running your mouth. Use it to buy coal trucks and knock your socks off loading 'em up. But I'm willin' to listen if your Lipton crowd can introduce an idea as to how to "collectively gather" over 17M. I'm here when you're ready.

You must have forgotten what happened in the 2010 mid-term election. We have another mid-term next year.

About the illegals, if they aren't allowed to work or receive anything from the taxpayers they would self-deport. If our immigration laws were enforced and the borders secured we wouldn't have had the problem to begin with. The government has failed to protect and defend the American citizens per the constitution.

I favor a path to citizenship to those who have been in this country for years, work and have a clean criminal record. I have employed several Latinos, who are documented. They are the best workers I have ever had and we have been in business thirty years. In fact, but for them we could not have taken some projects. Aside from their work ethic, I have found them to be quite nice. Like any new group that came to America some dont like them. It was the same with the Italians, Irish, and Polish immigrants. This group can help our country; lets get the out of the underground and make them legal so they can participate in our democracy. And PS, we pay all our people the same wage. In fact, two of our best are Latinos are now supervisors. They also file tax returns. Its time we accord this group respect.

They break the law when they come into the country illegally. They also break the law when they take a job in this country. So no they don't have a clean criminal record. We don't need more workers while millions of citizens are without a job and unemployment at 8%.
The fact that you felt it necessary to add that your "documented" employees "also pay taxes" is very telling.

Everyone that has worked for us have the proper paper work. We bid and received federal jobs and several time we have been checked. On that fact, I am certain we have never worked an illegal. But let me tell you another fact, our work is difficult and we have had trouble hiring good American workers. Too many Americans are fat and lazy, which is why we have so many Latinos working. There are many jobs that a lot of our citizens won't do, which is why so many Latinos, legal and illegal, are here. Give those guys a chance and they will be a real force in this country.

If your Congress as- had gotten off their couches the last > 4 yrs., we'd have had this ball rolling a long time ago. I'm not concerned about that debt clock...I am however shocked it isn't more than what it is given the perfect storm Bush rolled in.

My dear Sarah, do get a clue. Please, be my guest and Google the Working Visa Program/GWB and read all about it. It was under YOUR watch, not mine my dear Sarah.

My dear poor uneducated man....I haven't forgotten the midterms, but you saw who got re-elected as President of the United States of America....didn't you?

I do believe also that enforcing our laws (unless you can guard the underground, the whale bellies and tunnels that bring them in and the over and above Bush's 12,000 per month Working Visa Program, I will suggest that the local law enforcement is napping in the trees on duty. For example, I've seen them on roofs in your little town. Now tell me your local enforcement don't see what I saw? Yep, that's right. They turn the deaf ear and I've actually heard that some local enforcements have said it's too much "red tape" to fool with what it takes. Yep, that's right. Stop blaming the government for not being your 911 24/7. Your local enforcements, and mine, are paid BY the taxpayers to enforce the laws. It appears....they aren't?

Next time I'm in Washington, I'll let the President know they all need to sit by your bedside 24/7....to protect you from the boogie men. Grow up and stop trying to find someone else to blame for what "we the people" create.

I agree those who grew up here, brought here as babies or small children, not by their own accord, who have gone to school and are starting to contribute to society, should be given their path to Citizenship. They aren't our problem. There are millions more that are taking advantage of everything in our system and this has to be dealt with. I do believe that the Right Wing is against us trying to find a way (since they are already here in lots) because once they are legally permitted, they then would have more power to make greater demands on corporate America, such as wages for one thing. If they are working under the table, there's not much they can do and that's where Republicans and conservatives want to keep them. Good employers like yourself are few and far between. Here's one major problem I have (among others). They live in households 3 families thick, they pay one set of real estate taxes, yet send 3 families of children to our schools. The schools take the position they aren't immigration. They are educators. Immigration wants to see tax returns, yet never check if they've been actually filed. Bottom line is, everyone's passing the buck. They also manage to work just enough above the table to qualify for every benefit in our system and managing to get 3 sets of it in one household. I actually got an increase on my garbage bill and was blatently told by the village that they don't have the staff to keep up with what they are doing, they blame the zoning commission and letting me know I have to pay a higher garbage bill because some houses has 3 families of garbage for pickup. Passing another buck. This nation simply cannot handle more of this abuse and fraud.

I do feel the educated ones given citizenship can contribute to our society, earn larger dollars and create revenue. The downside of that one however is, they were probably educated at the taxpayer's expense.

Oh and btw, contractors are actually some of the biggest culprits in using undocumented workers because Latino guys are capable of doing about anything in the construction industry. But, keep your eyes wide open. Some will have your clientel before you can count to 3 and running their own business while making you think you got some wonderful hired help.
