Kmart Sad Life Chronicles

This is the most hilarious forum I have ever stumbled across in all my late night lurching. I'm amazed by the level of info being sharing all because of Kmart's "No Receipt No Refund". Clearly people haven't had to suffer such injustice since Jesus Christ himself. If you think you can believe what everyone tells you, I'm so sorry you poor, naive creature. And even worse, if you except a corporation to believe what any random person walks in and tells them, you're a hopeless imbecile. You gotta accept that a mans word is no longer his bond so handshakes are well..redundant. We can adapt or natural selection automatically start weeding out the weak links. I saw there's a lot of calling people out by name going on & other forms of foolishness. If the biggest stress in your life is the Kmart return policy, this is incredible. May God have mercy on you if anything happens that actually matters in life. It's going to shatter your false sense of entitlement & delusions of grandeur. I'm not sure how you'll make it. Where you raised by wolves or did they realize early on you maxed out. But the most disturbing thing by far was the woman who attempted a diaper bag return after her baby was stillborn. If you expect Kmart to accept sad life chronicles and just hand you over money you're an imbecile and you deserve to get scammed for everything you have. If you bring me a diaper bag with no receipt & tell me the baby died I'm still not giving you a refund! What the hell is wrong with me? I'm such a heartless bitch you say. No, why would I let a sad story, create grey areas in my judgement, when it might be a complete lie? A criminal with no conscious would tell that story to trick you into giving up that refund. So sorry lady, that's a real sad story, I guess. But I can't imagine ever in life walking up to a random Kmart employee and saying I won't need this diaper bag after all, cause my baby just died, I don't have my receipt, can get a $30 store credit? It's asinine to drag refund thirst malarkey to a corporate level. Idk maybe you think Nancy Grace is aces, so you crusade for justice with Consumer Return Policy. All I know is this isn't logical thinking. This broad needs some professional help instead of having inappropriate struggles for a refund to avoid dealing with her baby dying. On top of that she's got her a retarded ass friend boycotting Kmart & posting her business on the internet for the world to see. You people make me afraid for this world. Don't be mad about return policies, be mad at yourself because you can't understand why/how they make sense.

I hope that you're not trying to impress us with your fifth grade vocabulary. You need to stick to words that you know how to spell. Also, you need to use the right words if you are going to try to sound semi-intelligent.

Got a digital camera today for Christmas it came from a closing store with 40% off everything pretty much and all sales are final no exchange or refund written on the sale slip. So does this mean I cant exchange my brand new but broken camera at a k mart that's not closing or am I stuck with it.....

No store should refund. <points at period.
The manufacturer made it, you beef is with them no someone who must take a lose because you made a bad choice. The time spent to refund, contact the mfg, ship it back falls onto the stores and we all pay for it. I have no problem with any stores policy on returns because I'm not making bad choices and if something does fail, I understand the policy and do not try to rip off a store because of a failed product, I contact the MFG. I once bought a pair of Ecco shoes normally 300 and paid 175, they stayed in the closet six months and when I did wear them, the bottoms began to crumble. One call to the MFG and I had a return bag the next day, shipped them off free, got new shoes back in three days. MFGs will work with you, so stop stealing from Kmart.

Every business should require a receipt for all returns. A lot of people take advantage of stores. Thats why our prices are so high. I get gift receipts with my purchases, that way if anyone needs to return, the store will have proof that it was bought at that store.

That's what we get when we are forced to buy foreign goods. Our country's manufacturing has been outsourced for cheap labor, producing cheap goods at a high dollar for America citizens. Everybody should not buy one single item anywhere for one week in this country and I bet that would rattle the economy a little! Until America gets some factories back for jobs the products will continue to get worse. Ban all foreign goods!

This past Christmas, my husband and I bought my mom a thing of perfume, when we got home, half the bottle was gone, we tried to take it back and they told us that from now on that there will be no returns or exchanges accepted for Christmas presents. We had paid over 20 dollars for the perfume, we tried every which way to take it back and they WOULD NOT let us exchange it. I haven't been back there since. Everyone that works there is RUDE and HATEFUL. I really don't appreciate the way that we were treated and spoke to over there. Not to mention every time we would go in there, they would be gossiping about this person or that person or something so I do NOT want to shop at a store where they talk about their costumers.

What do you mean you have to have a receipt!?! I bought a phone card and had my receipt and they would not take it back (it had NOT been used either). You have to scratch off the back to start to use the card. When I went back to get the refund the girl that waited on my was rude as well. I had previously bought a card at Wal Mart and had to return it. They accepted it with no problem! Like connie said that's why i shop at WM and do not go back in kmart! Kmart is the pits!!

One of the managers "Kevin" needs to be fired, he treats his employees crude and unfair. A lot of people quit when he started there. Other's have called in for the main reason of "Kevin" being to intimidated to come in.Some thing needs to be done about this guy!

I agree 100%! It's the same way at Kmart stores in Michigan and Ohio. No sales people. When you find one, they're all snotty to ya.

Will never put anything in Layaway at the Corbin store. Never shop there again either. The "other" manager is a jerk too!! Black Friday afternoon was a Zoo in there. I expected it to be bad, but... open some registers fgsakes!! Unbelievable.

I'll stay a Walmart customer now for life. Forget Kmart!

I actually like this policy. When people steal items and then return the items for store credit, they usually sell the store credit on the streets for drugs or to a pawn shop. So then the company is doubling in their shrink. When you have a store that is losing more than they're making, I think a policy like that should be put into place. That's why when people buy gifts, they should always get a gift receipt and people need to keep up with their receipts. It's really not that hard.

People steal yes. But that does not mean make it impossible for customers to return things. I had a baby shower and got a stroller and car seat I don't like. I can't exchange it or anything. I'm not going to use it so what to do?
