Theres not a single person you mentioned on the Cherokee Dawes Role, and how many of these people can show their tribal card? Name me ONE. Put there DNA up here old boy and lets see proof. The only way they would be is they are related to Sizemore or Fields I mentioned. The tribe in Kentucky WILL NOT take your so called Drummonds, Huffs, Hubbards..so you must not be a proven Native family. Sorry Buddy, good try, no cigar
Kentucky? WTF you talking about? North Carolina and Virginia. As for your tribe? If you don't own a casino you suck. lol

Run DNA on your "tribal card" plastic or paper. lmao

Most families claimed their ancestors were black so they wouldn't have to own up to being of your "tribe."

So to show people you are FOS.

"The I haplotype is commonly referred to as the Nordic or Northern European haplogroup. Our Benge Group C and Benge Group D have the haplotype I. Benge Group C has five participants who descend from King David Benge (b.ca 1762) or one of his siblings. Their 12 markers are identical, indicating a likely common ancestor within the last 300 years as we suspected. Benge Group D has one participant, but six out of 12 markers do not match those of Benge Group C. This indicates that Benge Groups C and D do not have a common Benge male ancestor within a genealogical time frame. The reasons for this mismatch could be the same as those listed above.
The R1b haplotype is commonly referred to as the Western European haplogroup, one of the most common in western Europe and in the Anglo-American colonies. Our Benge Group E (or James Benge Group) and the outgroup Carpenter both have the R1b haplotype. The James Benge Group has two members, both descending from James Almon Benge whose father was James Henry Benge (b.ca 1798). Their twelve markers are identical to each other. The sole participant of the Carpenter outgroup doesn't match any of the Benge groups. His Y chromosome matches the Carpenter group. This individual has a Benge ancestor, but not on his patrilineal line."

Then I guess you are listenning to the wrong drunks at the wrong parties. I heard of this thread and decided to put a few things straight.
The Cherokee red man of our neck of the wood have never been ashamed of being what we are.
We are a proud people that came from a long line of honer and family values.
Our ancestors were free to roam, to fish, to hunt, to share our help to get the crops out and to help each other to preserve for later. We lived by an unscheduled life style.
We had no swear words in our language, because we were free, and saw no reason to be cold and angry. Till the white man came to steal it all away.
Then even after excepting the white ways, after many generations we still kept a peaceful heart and to help out our fellow man.
We would trouble ourselves extra time to go down the road to a farm if we heard the "owner" was sick.
We would help him to lay his garden crops by and not charge a bill for this service.
P.S. We need more gentlemen like our forefathers. To show forgiveness and love and sharing.
Without it our world and mother earth is perishing. Also, we have too many cement overcoats, on her and she cannot breathe properly.

you said a mouth full.
we are all human beings. nobody is any better than anyone else.
we may work at a job and pay tax and keep our family up, while the lazy man sits on his azz on the draw, but we as a human are no better. if we had been raised to be the way they are we would have been that way too.

very interesting topix topic to say the least. I enjoyed. I think post 99 sums it up the best.
my wife's people have been in the southern Appalachians for a thousand years. Some knew what was going to happen decades before the trail of tears in 1839 as by that time they had scattered into the mountain region of Southwest Virginia. One of her Ani Yunwiya ancestors was born at Sandy Ridge, Stokes County, North Carolina in 1830, buried at Raven, Tazewell County, Virginia in 1920. Classic example is Nancy Ward. She saw what the future held for Ani Yunwiya and made plans for her descendants. As the Irish say, may the wind stay at your back and the sun always shine on your face.

There are many people from Eastern Ky who are of Native American descent but their families were not removed during the Great Removal. Only families who were removed and received land from the U.S. Govt had their names placed on the Dawes roll. The Cherokees known as the "Over-hills" dug in up in the mountains and were never counted. You can be full-blooded Cherokee but not qualify for enrollment because your family name doesn't appear on the Dawe's roll. Also, a person's family may have moved into Ky from another state and may be Native American of a different tribe that doesn't show up on Cherokee rolls or has a different surname. You can still have an Indian Grandma, even if your name isn't Sizemore.
There are no full blood Cherokee left. The white man has bred them out.

If you are from eastern ky and don't have one of these 4 in your family tree, you are not Indian. Truth is Truth. DNA proves it people. The Cherokee Dawes roll from the trail of tears has 100+ Fields and Sizemore's listed. The Ridgetop Shawnee ( a mixed Indian tribe in KY ) ONLY accepts people from these men, nobody else. Bull. Your "tribe" gave up and were herded like the cattle to your brand new white eye digs.

The Civilized tribe should turn in their credentials. Yes the Cheerokee (over the hills) that didn't fold claimed anything but the civilized tribe. Now you prove why.

Who even cares about this stuff? I think native Americans should be proud that people claim to be related to them. Most of us don't even know our complete heritage. We are all humans of equal value. I welcome anyone to claim kinship to me.

Jesus saves and he is the only way out of condemnation. If you believe your comment then believe that Jesus saves and he can protect his fold from danger.
