Too bad Mr FPK and LJK passed. They KNEW how to run a business and treat their employees. The greedy morons that were left to run it care nothing about integrity...one hope someone screws with them and their families the way they did to other families!

Mike Krohn, John Roulette and Fred Kennedy sank the company.
If any former LJK drivers are reading this just know that Big Dave grabbed that weasel Krohn by the throat on his last day. Too bad he let him go while he was still able to breathe.
I hope P&S realizes what a piece of shit Krohn is before he closes another company.
I wish people would stop lying, I knew them all from Lou to fred and mike. Big dave never grabbed mike krohn by the throat, I was there with dave. he yelled at him but never grabbed or touched him. LJ Kennedy was the best trucking company I have ever worked for and lou had the best family you could ever meet. I think everyone should let Lou and Frank rest in peace and pray for the family and quit lying.

I was told by Albert in dispatch that Big Dave grabbed Krohn. If untrue I apologize. I too was a loyal driver until the last day the Auburn terminal operated. Dave should have grabbed him and ended his worthless life. It was absolutely an awesome company till Frank passed. Was not lying just repeating what I heard. My mistake.
As for Fred. He never wanted anything to do with the business. Its done with now. And life goes on.

then turned around and laid off 60 drivers and kept rite on brokering, they were

Hello, I'm writing this for my dad who was a former employee for LJ Kennedy before they closed. He is currently trying to find another job and some potential employers have been unable to speak to anyone from LJ Kennedy to verify my dad's employment there. If they can't speak to an actual person my dad is unable to obtain another job. Is there anything you can do to help? Know of anyone my dad can contact for information? Please respond with any information you may have. Thanks.

I've been trying since late August to try to get to someone from L J Kennedy trucking regarding any pension dues. I worked for the Jacksonville, Fl. terminal for 13 years and was vested for retirement. I even sent a registered letter to them and it was signed as received by Virginia Kennedy. I have left numerous detailed messages to call me, as of today I have received absolutely NO response. I can get to Virginia's email but she will not call me. Does anyone who worked for this company back in the 70's or 80's have any information regarding pension.

LJ was the only company I ever worked with OTR. My experience was not a bad one. The office people seemed to be able to get you help and a load to get home. I feel sorry for the guys like the mechanics that had to work on that crap equipment. Never met an LJK driver that wasn't nice and helpful tarping a load. I do miss the Thurs. Fri. Bloomfield meeting where we all got our loads bounding for westers NY.As for managment. They were a bunch of pricks.
