Excellent!! Mr. Smith absolutely did the right thing and I'm sure his business associates feel the same way. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if his actions bring him more business than he had before. Thank you, Mr. Smith! You're a true hero and I'm sure Bella thinks so, too!

Good for Mr. Smith. I would certainly consider doing business with someone that considers his pets above the dollar. What a great story to start the day with.

I bet his wife was shocked but relieved knowing what the cat had gone through! I praise Mr. smith for putting the cat first and taking her home where she belonged. He earned my respect!

I had the same thing happen to me several years ago. Had two kittens that got in the spare tire under my Ford Explorer and I had no idea! I got to work after driving 30 miles and had many stop and go's on the way in. Got to downtown Dallas and the parked in the parking garage. Got a call from Security asking me if I owned the Explorer parked there? "Yes". Then, "do you have kittens at home?" "Well, yes, why?" - He then said, "Well I think they rode to work with you today because someone had seen them crawl out of the spare tire rack under the Explorer and they were wandering around!! Security kept them for a while and then I had to drive back home to drop them off. On the way - the last mile - one of them decided to deposit me a surprise in the back seat - which took me a lot more time to get cleaned up and to be sure there was no lingering smell!!! I still am amazed that they make it through rush hour traffic!

Talk about felines making their way in the news lately. First we have the endless soap opera of that obese cat last week and now one stuck in a tree and smuggled in a spare tire!!
Cats are sneaky and deserve whatever harm comes to them due to said sneakiness.
Drop dead!

Some people complain that cats are dumb. I don't think so, especially after reading this. If he was dumb, he would have run in the path of the truck and become roadkill.

I have rescued two kittens from car engines within the last two years. They go up there to either get warm or to get away from something that is chasing them. Either way, this wouldn't happen if people would start keeping their pets indoors and spaying or neutering them. Both my kittens turned out fine, but it could have been so much worse.

Oh, and Flesh Light (your name says it all), I hope you finally find someplace to call home where there are no animals, except you of course. Then you can be happy. Compassion is never a bad thing.

Thank you Gil Smith for doing the right thing. Animals that 'adopt' people do so out of trust in a world where they have been abused, or simply left behind. Thank you.

Flesh light? Did your mom hit you in the head when you were little? Is that why you sound so dumb?
