I live in middletown, and Jo-V's has worked on my car and my wifes car. Their prices were competitive with others around, and they were very up front in telling me how I could save money by using after market parts if I wished to do so. The work they performed was very good. Alot of people in the body industry work on their "project cars", or friends cars after hours.

CUSTOMERS BE AWARE - Please do not take likely…I am concerned residence of the Keansburg area and have watched this specific Body Shop (jo-V’s Auto) operate and it is quite disturbing. Besides the horrific smell of the paint fumes (they must not use an appropriate ventilation system), the Owners also seem to be there until all hours of night. I don’t mind if work has to be done, but I have seen, on several different occasions, the workers running back and forth to the liquor store, which is conveniently located across the street. This does not only happen during the evening, but it starts as early as noon. I would not want anyone working on my car that is either drunk or something worse. I have also heard many complaints from friends, who believe that they abuse the insurance companies. On two separate accounts, I have heard of people who bring there vehicles in for repairs, the body shop claims the insurance money, state they are replacing parts with brand new and it never happens…they pocket the money. Insurance fraud is something you don’t do and OSHA should be aware that they do not follow proper safety regulations. No posters hung anywhere, no masks while spraying paint, no tops on any of the paint cans (which is required) and also the fact that they smoke and drink in there shop, should be enough for someone to be concerned.
Please do not give your money to this Body Shop…they will do a horrific job in the long run.
This body shop is so out of control. They are disrespectful of our servicemen. Promise things they can't deliver. Give you a lower price for cash payment (taxes paid?). Won't return phone calls. Won't respond to complaints. Shrug their shoulders when you do get to complain. Not the type of shop I want my car at anymore.

Jo-V's is a great local shop. I think a lot of these comments misrepresent a business that not only turns out good work but also supports many community causes. They're known around Hazlet for helping out with donations where they can.

This is funny. The owner's a Gulf War vet and the son is an officer in the U.S. Army.

I recommend.

I can't recommend these guys enough. They not only did a great job on my car (which had a year's worth of body damage and subsequent rust after a bad storm) but went above and beyond fixing a bunch of other problems, including banging out a bent door on the spot, throwing in an extra part and its installment, paint touch ups, plus what I paid was way below market price. Not to mention courteous, taking care of their customers, and professional--they hustled hard to get THE LAST PART LEFT IN THE COUNTRY for my busted light which there were no aftermarket options for (whew!).

It's apparently a family run business and I met three of them ... all I can say is quality, intelligent, good people. A great surprise and a great find esp for the Keansburg/Hazlet area. Highly recommend A+

Ummm what happened to the shop? It closed up before the storm and nobody has been there since. I pass the shop everyday on my way home from work and I have seen the staff drinking in the open bay... And it was not soda it was clearly a Budweiser can.
