The Red Pants Bar

I am trying to get any information available on the Red Pants Bar, which was situated on Alii Drive in Kailua-Kona, across from the pier and seawall, in the late 60s and early 70s, but was at some point later closed and torn down. I would like to know anything about the bar, but particularly, when it opened and when it closed, and why it closed. Anyone having links to photographs and able to provide photographs would be especially welcome.

I worked there during the summer of 1971--what is your connection?

A friend of mine use to frequent the bar and was wondering if it was rebuilt after the typhoon.

I was there in the early 70's on a date, with a tour guide. At the time it was owned by Richard Boone, of "Have Gun Will Travel" tv fame. He was tending bar that night. Fun place. Gone now.
