I have seen very few small white signs advertising a drive-in theater in our area. There were a couple at I-10 and Mason Road heading south. They are not there now. Anyway.....it said that they were having a Snow Day at this new theater, bringing in 41,000 lbs. of snow for this event. No phone number and only said just west of Katy and something about theater gift certificates. Does anyone know anything about this? I would love to see a drive-in open up in our area.

I heard something on the radio yesterday afternoon about the Katy drive-in movie theatre and the snow day! I didn't catch an exact address and/or time. Has anyone else heard an exact location/date/time etc?!

I saw the signs as well at the corner of Westgreen and I10. I've been asking people but no one seems to know anything about it. I might venture out West on I10 to see if I see any signs along the highway.

Mike and Ramona, You saved the day today, although they cancelled the snow day and rescheduled for next Saturday. I made plans for the kids to bring the grandkids and we'd go today and then everyone asked me where it was and I couldn't find it until I found this forum. Your post led me to it and kept me from looking extremely stupid. Thanks much. glen

The Drive-In is 9 miles west of Katy. It's not complete yet because of the rain. It should be open very soon.
Just head out Hwy.90A. Just remember it's on the North side of I-10 See ya there this summer. cliff_friede@yahoo.com |

All of the info you need is on the website. It has the highway number and everything. It's the exit after Brookshire. If you live in Katy and have never driven through towns like Fulshear (exit 732 south of I-10) and Simonton, you should and visit the mom and pop stores/restaurants. It has a small town feeling, but will grow to over 30,000 in the next couple of years.

My family and I went to the drive in last night and we had a great time. They have been open for a couple of weeks.

We went also on the 2nd. It was a lot of fun. They do need to boost the signal for the sound. It had a lot of static. Also the screen needs to be repainted with a flat paint, it was to shinny. However we will be back as those two things did not distract from the fun we had as a family.
