True..let us pray Obama wins. We need to have pride in America once again. We have suffered long enough under Bush and his war on America.

Interesting commentary. I believe the entities that threaten the US on the whole will be afraid of McCain, much like Iran when Ronald Reagan took office. The hostages were released almost simultaneously with his swearing in ceremony. I remember that day well. I can only wish this elections outcome be a healthy and united country.
Well said!

Damn well said!

There is one and only one true path to lasting peace: strength.

Those who wish to avoid war must be prepared to fight one.

Holding hands, singing Kumbayah, and hoping for the best does not feed the bulldog.

Neville Chamberlain tried that in 1938 and Great Britain was bombed almost into oblivion.

Yep Gilligan. I give you credit for trying to expand your horizons. But if you really believe in peace through strength, then you'll just love what the US is doing not only in Pakistan, but now Syria.

And regarding Chamberlain, you need to do a better job of studying history instead of just reading it.

It only seems endless. What I am actually doing is giving the Cry Baby Boomers a taste of their own medicine and they don't much like it. Indeed they whine that the very treatment they find used on them that they are only too happy to use on others is "endless", poor tings.

And how has your strategy worked thus far, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?

And this clown wanted to go the U.S. Naval Academy ... and become an OFFICER?
Actually, if you want to be accurate and correct, he said he was accepted but went to another institution.

So you're saying you're whining to give them a taste of their own medicine?

Is that what the navy taught you?

you haven't been on the receiving end of one of Gilligan's tirades. In fact, unless you've been looking at a particular blog for the last couple of months, you have no idea what you're talking about..
Translation from Skippy-talk to NORMAL conversation: A letter of mine was published in SB way back on 20 September and Skippy has gone abs-friggin-lutely last word freak bonkers, He can't let it alone. The thread has now surpassed 400 postings, the vast majority of them from Skippy who at my command has been dropping trou in this forum for WEEKS. As low brow hobbies go, this one has been FASCINATING for a person of my abysmally low tastes.

That is a flat out lie as you will see if you have the stomach to wade through all Skippy's stream of fatuous doo doo extending back to September 20.

Skippy has never served a day in his life. He is a monumentally ungrateful parasite who takes for granted everything this best country on earth has to offer and gives back NOTHING in return.

That he DARES to bad mouth those who have and who do serve to defend HIS freedoms is the mark of his monumental world class HYPOCRISY.

Gilligan my boy.

First of all, you’re September 20th letter (one of many) was not the starting point. You obviously have a mental time out. And I thank you for mentioning that I continue to return at “your command” so that Casual Observer can see what I see when I refer to your “god-like complex.” But as you have mentioned before, I am your hobby and as I have mentioned before, I’m happy to oblige. And since you are fascinated, so am I.

Now I have never trivialized the services. Not in the United States, nor other foreign military assets, either friend or foe. I will, however, continue to be critical of Bush jr. The waste product that comes from what normal people call your mouth is what you want to believe in order to continue to keep your “hobby” going. And that’s ok with me.

So you see, Gilligan. You are the one spreading untruths and lies. And like I said before, I can’t believe the navy actually took you in.

How come all of a sudden you’re civil in your posting?
Nothing sudden about it, Skippy.

ADULTS merit my respect and civility. Very customary among NORMAL people, Skippy.

And now, admittedly somewhat earlier than originally envisioned, it is time to exercise my CONTROL option.

You have had all the hand holding and spoon feeding you are going to get from Yours Truly, Skippy. Either you will follow the breadcrumbs so generously distributed alont the path toward the Truth about our fundamentally strong economy .... OR you will childishly cling to your doom and gloom delusions so you can continue to trash the best country on earth, a country that has given you virtually everything served up on a sliver platter.

Once I reach forward to the controls of my Jedi Force Master Panel [to which you have thus far responded like an artfully struck patella tendon], you will be cast adrift Skippy to either make something of yourself or else continue to drift like a derelict without purpose, function or value. As Epictetus might say, that is under YOUR control.

And now [leaning forward] at long last, Skippy ......[CLICK!] ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss s...[ad infinitem]

god-like complex...

But please, follow what Epictetus taught you. And btw, have you studied up on Chamberlain yet? Or does your mouth still do the thinking for you and let the brain catch up?

The uncertainty about Obama is the brainwashing he had been getting years and years from extremist in the Black community including the precepts of Martin Luther Kin, Jr. This uncertainty would come into play when Obama becomes president and is confronted by a crisis involving a Muslim extremist nation as Iran - concerning Israel, US support of Israel, and most of all if Iran gets to build an atomic bomb. What would Obama do should Iran finally get to build an atomic bomb. Will Obama succumb to nuclear blackmail from Iran and yank US support of Israel? What will Obama do should Iran ultimately have nuclear bomb capability? What would Obama do to prevent Iran's nuclear bombs from being given to Al Qaeda?

Well let's see. McCain said he knows how to win wars. He also said he will catch Bin Laden.

When does he plan on starting? After he's elected? If he doesn't get to be POTUS, does that mean he's not telling us or won't help?

And this from a man who says he's "experienced" because he sat in an aircraft cockpit on a CV.
