To answer Mr Phil Robertson's question (above) pertaining to the private ownership of guns; you don't need them if you continue to allow someone else to do your fighting for you.

They're not worried about the airlines, the story set up the "terrible fact" that it could hit the capitol from a quarter mile away. Criminals fear punishment.

Depends on who you ask.
I don't own one but by the time they can be banned, I'll own at least one.

Oh Raymond, Its good to see you back here where have you been?
Guns are a not a dream they are a RIGHT to a free people. The RIGHT to protect ones self from criminals or a repressive government is great power for regular citizens to have. Its only a government that fears its citizens (communists. socialists, dictators, Muslims or any imposed authoritarian leadership) that would Ban private ownership of Guns. If everyone is armed there is no way for a tyrannical government to exist. I my self have a fair collection of guns, at the present time I have an AK-47, SKS, S&W 9mm pistol, AR-15(civilian M-16)an old British 303 enfield mark 4, 12 gauge shot gun, 3 22lr rifles and a few others. Its legal here in Arizona to walk down the street with my 9mm S&W pistol on my side. Do you think I will have any problems with anyone that wants to mess with me...no, I don't think so.
I am a responsible gun owner though. If America needs anything its the need to educate and make sure any Gun owner is knowledgeable and safe. Most problems are with jerks that have never been taught to respect a gun and what it can do in the wrong hands. My boys are well versed in Gun safety and how to fire safely and to dissemble and clean them. My Guns are kept in a safe not just for security but safety. Every country needs to trust their citizens with guns....only countries with Idiots for citizens ban them from GUNS

First of all, Hello M8, Nice to know you are still on the forums and hav'nt yet been shot. LOL. From now on we disagree. The mark of a civilized Country/Place is the lack of GUNS. Guns of course are needed by the insecure, are you insecure M8? No, of course not, you have your GUNS. Forgive me, but I cannot understand why ANYBODY in a civilized country, other than the Armed forces/Police should have reason to have a gun! What are the figures M8 for the USA? 13,000 persons plus killed per annum in your Country by GUNS. Sad my friend SAD.

So, without any guns, France and Europe have no murders or crime?

I did.

The Indianapolis Star publishes the murders for the previous year each January. For reasons of their own, they also include police action shootings as well as shootings in self-defense.
Still, most of the murders are young toughs killing young toughs. Which would (and sometimes does) happen with baseball bats or knives if there were no guns.

But, the vast majority of guns are owned by responsible people interested in protecting themselves.
In America, we have a right to protect ourselves, with deadly force if necessary. With an armed population, it isn't necessary as often.
Washington D.C. has some of the strictest gun laws in the US, but one of the highest crime rates.
That's what happens when only criminals(who don't observe the gun laws) have guns.

hey Raymond in France,if not for America and our guns you'd be speaking German right now. more deaf than dumb from indy is right, most of the gun deaths in the US are scum killing scum weeding out the non-contributors to society. the amount of innocent people getting killed by gunfire is a small percentage of the overall total.

They haven't seen the end of the riots, and their future is bleaker than they can possibly imagine.
The Germans at least allowed the French to live, the islamic radicals won't make that mistake.
What's worse is the French are still appeasing the radicals.

Fact: a person who owns a gun is SIX TIMES more likely to die by gunfire than a person who does not own a gun.
The American gun culture is a fetish - like D/S or foot worship - nothing more.
For all the talk about "liberty", and for all the guns in the US, it has not stopped the criminally insane Bush regime and its enablers from subverting the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, instituting spying on US Americans without warrants, imprisoning US citizens without charges or trial, torture and death of innocents, or the selling-out of the US American laborer to globalism and the oil oligarchs.
Captain A needs his stupidly overbuilt truck and his assault rifle because he feels weak, powerless and inadequate. He clings to them like a baby blanket, or his "boo-boo" - they are the tits he sucks on for comfort because he is a typically immature, arrogantly ignorant and totally brainwashed US citizen.
I love my country but can't stand Bush. the United States Of America is still the best country in the world even with a moron as its leader. he will soon be gone. and if you are so against this great country why don't you move to another one? no ones stopping you.
