This is so sad and this poor woman's life may not have been lost if the county would add some turning lanes at the intersection of Kapaka road and Kuhio highway. I live off of Kapaka road and must make left turns at the same intersection and it is very dangerous. This turnoff if packed with cars turning both ways. There is the church of the pacific, The Zip line and a the housing area on the mauka side that has grown rapidly in the last few years. The signage is very poor and turn lanes should be build immediately as one has to sit out in the middle of a very busy two lane highway to make a left turn. Cars frequently pass on the right or there are accidents when people are rear-ended. There have been scores of accidents over the years. time to take action.
