That's right...we're being Priced out of Paradise..in 5-10 years from now.. only billionaires will be able to live here.. the rest of us will have to flee to a more affordable, red state or end up on the beach on the Leeward side.
Last one out, turn of the mercury-filled CFL's!
That seems to be their intention, doesn't it? How will anyone that's not a lawyer, doctor, or similar profession be able to make it month to month? Most families have both parents working multiple jobs already. Seems like soon we'll have two classes here. The rich, and the welfare crowd. One doesn't worry about money at all, and the other is content to sit around and drink beer all day and live like scrubs.

Thank you Eric Kim for recognizing the leadership of Mayor Hannemann. Leona, you have got to be kidding me if you think the readers of your letter believe a single word you wrote, or did Eric Ryan or Cliff Slater write it and you signed it?

<quoted text>Your taxes to pay for rail went up 2 years ago. So its not true they are GOING to raise your taxes. Stop using scare tactics.
If you believe Muffin's choo choo is going to come in on time and on budget, and there will be no need to increase taxes, then I have some magic beans you might be interested in.

I was born and raised in Kekaha.I also think the superferry is a very bad idea for our island but I think it is probably a good thing for Oahu. Try some respect about neighbor islands who don't want to be included. We don't tell you what is good for Oahu. Also stop calling us the minority. I can assure you we are the majority. show respect please, don't try shove it on us. We are your country oahana. no one wants to be city here except newcomers i.e.(kimo Rosen(burg). We just all let him shoot da mouth, no listen or hear him.
Actually, he shames us who have kanaka koko.

Too bad, it's not YOUR island. Kauai is part of America where free market entrepreneurs are allowed to offer their services and products where ever they want.

Not everyone wants to live in a city, but it seems city people just have this desire to urbanize any space they can. Why do they NEVER just leave an area alone? The developers are at it in Waianae now, anytime we'll be reading the complaints from townies that the farms must be shut down. Just watch.

Slamming into winter time Hawaiian seas. Sounds like that other Oahu Mufi folly --- The Boat, down again. Not too essential if it doesn't work.

Exactly right, If the Superferry fails then investors are out their money. Muffin wants to force us all to be investors in the choo choo taking our freedom away. Slavery is making a come back under democrat rule.

Mr Rosen has to write to the Oahu papers because the people of Kaua'i are so against him. He knows all of you on Oahu want the SF so he has a safe place to write. Ha Ha, we on Kaua'i will not let the SF come here under any circumstance. You can keep the SF and Please keep Mr. Rosen, too. He is one of you and a real shame to Kaua'i.
I have read your post and it seems to have a underlying message of a possissble threat. You are insinuating 1 of your fellow Kauains had to leave because of his views on the SF. I wonder if Mr. Rosen was threatened?? Everybody has views and opinions about the SF, but when you say you will stop the SF under any circustance you have left yourself open for concern. Both you a Kapaa have a right to dislike a controversial subject and I give you guys credit for believing in what you believe, Please keep in mind and choose your words carefully because after reading a post people interpert things differenly. This is a different era we live in now especially after 9/11 so a little care in expressing youself is a must.
