The new Hardee's restaurant commercial for the pattymelt burger is nothing more than porn.
As a Christian, I refuse to support this. I will not do business with Hardee's any longer.
It is degrading to women and it is using blatant sex/porn to sell their product.
Christians, this is something we can actually do something about, our voice counts. I am doing my best to help my sons remain sexually pure until marriage and commercials like this do nothing but plant the seed for lust. And this affects all of you parents with teenage daughters.
If you feel the same way please call the Guest Response line and tell them you have a complaint about this commercial.
The number is 877-799-7827.
Have your pastors relate this concern so that everyone in your area can let their voice be heard and hopefully make a difference and get this commercial off of the air.
Christian men, please call this number and complain - that will have even more impact.
So please call your local Hardee's and tell the manager that you will no longer do business there and why. Maybe this will let the owner know that their pocket book will be affected until they remove their filth from the tv.

The corporate address is:

Hardee's Food Service, Inc.
100 N. Broadway Ste. 1200
St. Louis, MO 63102

Please look on the hardees.com website and get the names of the management team and board of directors and write to them.
My letter to each one of them will go out on tuesday...

I certainly agree with you! When I saw the first ad a week or so ago, I was appalled that they would put this crap on tv! Thanks for the number and I will give them a call. They need to pull this ad and fast!!

Thanks you for speaking up about the offensive commercial. I told the men in my office today how sad it is that it takes sex to sell a hamburger. I hope everyone will take a step for decency and not visit a Hardee's. Dairy Queen also has a commercial that I think is just as offencive with the ice cream. I am a franchise owner (not either of these)and I would be screaming all the way to the top of management!!! Please is there is anything we can do to come together to have this sort of advertising stopped count me in. In the mean time I will be praying for America.

So you think by boycotting hardees, you and the rest of the god squad are going to actually accomplish anything? Are you even remotely aware of just how much sex/drugs/etc is in mainstream media? The the original poster, are you planning on censoring all music, movies, and social gatherings for your sons until they finally get married and then lose their virginity? If you were to try that something tells me they might have problems finding dates. I agree that women are objectified and disrespected corporate advertising, but I guess thats the by-product of such a massive and mindless corporate-ran society.

I DON'T HAVE TIME TO WATCH TV, SO I HADN'T SEEN THE AD, BUT WHEN SENDING EMAIL, THEIR AD WAS POSTED ON HOTMAIL. I WENT TO HARDEES WEB SITE AND UNFORTUNATELY GOT THE WHOLE VIDEO.(IT PLAYED AUTOMATICALLY). I COULDN'T LOCATE A PHONE NUMBER THOUGH, SO I GOT IT OFF YOUR SITE. I CALLED AND HAD TO LEAVE A RECORDED MESSAGE.
IT'S A SAD COMMENT ON OUR SOCIETY THAT IT TAKES PORNOGRAPHY TO SELL SOMETHING. I LEFT A MESSAGE THAT I COULD NO LONGER GO TO HARDEE'S; THAT I WOULD FEEL I WAS DOING SOMETHING VULGAR IF I DID.
OVERLOOK THE NEGATIVE COMMENTS ABOUT YOUR TEACHING YOUR SONS PURITY. BIBLICALLY, WE ARE NOT RESTRICTING OUR CHILDREN BY TEACHING THEM GOD'S STANDARDS; RATHER WE ARE FREEING THEM. WE NEED TO SINCERELY PRAY FOR THE HEARTS AND SOULS OF THOSE WHO ARE SO NEGATIVE ABOUT CHRISTIANITY. IT'S IRONIC THAT THOSE WHO PUSH TOLERANCE FOR EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING, DO NOT EXTEND THAT TOLERANCE TO CHRISTIANS.

Some of what you see on 'So you think you can dance' qualifies more as porn than that commercial....I'm headed for Hardee's right now !!!!

Have you ever watched HBO ????

I get so angry every time your commercial comes on TV. I will not use the coupons that come in the mail and will not visit your stores. Poor judgement was used from the beginning to the end. Now it ends up on TV. You must be having a hard time selling your product to go that far.
My one sales may not do much but I have had my say.

"IT'S IRONIC THAT THOSE WHO PUSH TOLERANCE FOR EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING, DO NOT EXTEND THAT TOLERANCE TO CHRISTIANS."

So are you saying that anyone critical of Christianity believes that "everyone and everything" should be tolerated? I would have to say that you do a good enough job of isolating yourselves from all of us non-believing heathens.

Suggestive? Yeah, Porn? Not hardly! you need to lighten the hell up, we got alot bigger problems in the world than worrying about a scantily clad blonde squirming around pimping hamburgers.

There is a real lack of intelligence here. You know, it is the stay-at-home moms who are keeping all those fast food places in business. Hardees might want to consult with a company like Chic Fa La or even McDonalds. Our society just will not get real about sex. We need more respect for ourselves. Young girls pregnant, men dying of aids, and sexually transmitted diseases are not so sexy and that is the side of casual sex that TV does not show us. I just think it is sad for us all that we have dropped to this kind of low - using sex to sale a thing like a burger. By the way, you guys who took this as an opportunity to bash God. He loves you anyway. He even loves the owners of Hardees and the girls who made the poor choices to do these commercials.

IN RESPONSE TO "WAKE UP", I WAS THINKING MORE ALONG THE LINES OF AN OLD SAYING (NOT A DIRECT QUOTE) "I MAY NOT AGREE WITH YOUR OPINION, BUT I WOULD FIGHT TO THE DEATH FOR YOUR RIGHT TO EXPRESS IT."
THE IDEA BEING, THAT A LITTLE RESPECT GOES A LONG WAY. I WAS CONCERNED THAT SOMEONE WOULD CRITICIZE A FATHER FOR TEACHING HIS SONS SEXUAL PURITY. HE HAS THE RIGHT TO DO THAT; AND YES, OTHERS HAVE THE RIGHT TO CRITICIZE, BUT RESPECT WOULD BE BETTER. AJ'S COMMENTS WERE RIGHT; WE DON'T THINK THINGS THROUGH TO SEE THE IMPACT OF CASUAL SEX; NOT JUST PHYSICAL BUT EMOTIONAL CONSEQUENCES. MY HEART WENT OUT TO YOU WHEN YOU REFERRED TO THOSE WHO ARE NOT CHRISTIAN AS "NON BELIEVING HEATHENS." I WOULD NEVER THINK OF A NON-BELIEVER IN SUCH NEGATIVE TERMS. IF YOU WERE MY NEIGHBOR OR COLLEAGUE AT WORK, MY HOPE WOULD BE THAT I WOULD TREAT YOU IN A WAY THAT EVEN THOUGH YOU ARE NOT A CHRISTIAN, YOU WOULD THINK, "GEE, I DON'T CHOOSE THAT LIFESTYLE FOR MYSELF, BUT IT SURE SEEMS TO BE GOOD FOR HER."

I don't exactly agree with the comments that the stay at home moms are the ones keeping the fast food places in business. A lot of guys who have open lunch hours and are in construction are a big part of the fast food frequenters too. I live down the road from a major auto plant and they are lined up in the drive through from 10:00am on. I don't buy fast food, but I do get diet drinks there so it's easy to see who does alot of business at my local fast food places. I see more men than I do women with kids, on most days. I do agree that people have dummied everything down to the point that there is a tremendous lack of self respect but that doesn't mean we have to accept it. Paris Hilton comes to mind!

I was thoroughly disgusted with that ad. I will write to my newspaper and to the corporate offices of Hardee's. I will also boycott their restaurants and urge all my family and friends to do likewise. In fact, they may already be doing so. Have their sales sunk to such a low that they have to resort to this type advertising to sale a burger? Guess what. It's not working. It's having the opposite effect. Who wants to eat something they've seen somebody wallowing all over??? It sure didn't look appetizing to me.

So what your saying is just because everyone is doing it or they are going to do it anyway that we should not bother with any kind of morals at all? Wow there is a concept let's see there will always be pedafiles and they are going to do it anyway so what the hay let's just let them do it. As a mother of five children grown children I am so glad to know that there are people like you in charge of society because basically by doing nothing at all you are in the same class as the corporate bosses. I have more respect for someone who does something than someone who chooses to sit idly by and do nothing but sit and name call. It is proven througout history that great societies fall when they allow everything to be okay. You cannot have a society where everything is okay and the lines become blurred between right and wrong-sorry it fails.
