Kentucky is an excellant choice. I hope Harley closes the York plant and gets rid of the lazy union slobs. Harley will get their $$$$$$ back quick getting rid of the union.

The only way Harley stays in York
1) eliminate 1/3 workforce
2)$5.00 hour pay cut
3) cotribute 40% toward your health insurance coverage

The would be the 10 % or 100,000,000 in savings
haha nice try

I remember CAT. CAT retirees turned their backs on their brothers strike and crossed the picket lines. Typical action and response by a Yorker/Central Pa - "I got mine and screw you."

Only in Central PA, will you read comments cheering for their fellow residents and families to lose their jobs. Gotta love those Christian conservative values.

Ok people I think you study history and comment on unions and just why they were formed.
As far as the union goe's there is no place for workers rights and fair pay level in our society today, it's a lot deeper then the harley issue and the self centerness of our society of today is a big part of it. I was at Catapilar working through the temp agency when they closed the plant and auctioned off all the remaining equicment and such. all it would of took to keep them in york, PA was a pay, benefits cut and it was over at that point thanks to a hand full of retire statis employes and the Harley workers face the same issues! They striked not long ago guess what (GONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEE) out of here the people in kentucky would work for the company at a large pay cut and such, so you people better think about it quickly. they are not playing strike or games any more Stay or Gone its up to you the work force now. I've seen this at alot of companies my brothers for one in MD. the union was voted out. yes he said it sucks now but he has a job and still makes 16 dollars a hour! Good luck and God bless.

People at Harley don't make 50 dollars an hour and union people are being laid off but they still keep hiring salary. If harley goes it is going to hurt alot of small company's and retail stores in area. Before people shot there mouths off get the facts right.

This chapter of the IAM Union better take a clue from what happened to their sister chapter out in Washington. Boeing chose to open its' second 787 Dreamliner line down in Charleston SC--where the plant voted the union OUT. The Union in Seattle chose to strike in the midst of this recession and put the Dreamliner ever farther behind schedule.

I'd say the Local IAM should really look hard at that, unless they want their jobs going to Kentucky.

Add Harley to Caterpiller and other good paying companies that "stupid ego driven union leadership" has driven out of the York County area.
They think they run the companies and make the unreasonable demands that cause companies to leave or go belly up.
Can anyone say Chryster or GM(government motors. Lots of unemployed former union members now in Detroit.

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Pisces

Are you feeling fraught? It certainly seems that way, perhaps because you've got far too much on your plate and not nearly enough time to tackle it all. Do yourself a big favor and start with whatever is most urgent, otherwise you'll waste time by dithering or getting caught up in trivial tasks. Above all, don't get into a panic because that will squander valuable time and energy.
