I do understand why the city is doing this but don't those cameras cost big bucks? Why don't they fix the streets with that money?

Who cares? Just don't pay the suggested fee, it's not a fine or even a ticket as they can not prove who is driving. Commercial plates will ensure no letter ever arrives.

It's amazing to me that these 'red light cameras' are just now trying to be put up in KC. Every other city I have lived in already had them. The problem with the above posters solution to just not pay the ticket because they can't see who is driving will not work. I have been a victim of these unconstitutional police state cameras twice...and both times an up front and crystal clear photo of me behind the wheel was mailed with the ticket. It's a shame that so much man power and dollars are being spent trying to stop cannabis users that there is a need for these trap cameras. Stop trying to arrest people for possessing a dried flower and post your fat pig butts at major intersections and ticket moving vehicle violators yourselfs! And just to add: there are websites that sell a clear spray that you spray onto your license plate that will scramble the camera...I have herd it works very well. Either that or stop speeding and running reds.

Floor it and go by and give them the finger.

It's pretty difficult to get out of it once a vehicle goes threw over the mhp limit or runs a red light. The cameras never miss or fail. Durning my gross about of time living in cities with red light and speeding cameras I've seen at least 500 of these cameras flash when a car was in the middle of the intersection and I had a green or when cars flew threw. If the picture that comes with the ticket(s) shows a different person driving, or if you have that license plate spray, then the judge might throw your case out. Other then that expect to pay a heavy fine, possibly getting points assets to your license and worst of all getting your God given rights ripped away from you with no resistance.

It's not a ticket, it's a suggested fee. It's also sent to a registration and not an individual. You absolutely do not have to pay the fee and there is no possible recourse. No points are assessed to your driving record, it's nothing, just a picture trying to shake people down for money. Legally no one outside of law enforcement can issue a ticket and these cameras are ran by a private company and not law enforcement.

And like I stated before commercial plates will prevent any photo from ever being sent. There are also considerable tax benefits to be realized by having a business registration.
