Not that I condone theft of any sort, but Pet Stores are certainly not concerned with the health and safety of their pets. Otherwise they wouldn't purchase from puppy mills. They only care about $$$$$$$$.

Dad: "Son, why did you steal that car, and that gun, and all the money from my wallet? Where did you learn that behavior? Huh? Tell me!"

Son: "I learned it from you, all right? I learned it by watching you."

Puppies are often "napping" at the store.
if you say so

I don't know that I believe your story. Why wouldn't you ASK your sponse if the puppy was paid for before walking out of the store. Maybe you should stop and think. It is too bad that it came to this and you ended up on the news. But you have nobody to blame but yourself for not covering all of your bases before walking out the door.

I would not say you are white trash. I would however say that if you file a lawsuit you are enforcing that image that if I don't like what happens, I will just file a lawsuit. If I filed a lawsuit everytime someone made me mad, I would spend all of my time in court and be worth a ton of money.

It would be nice for once to see people say "I messed up" and leave it at that. Until you went back to the store and paid, the puppy was stolen. So, nobody really lied now did they.

I personally have purchased a dog from a pet store and there is a lot of paperwork, vet info, etc. that goes along with the purchase. While this might truly be an honest mistake, I find it difficult to believe that it took this couple one full day to realize the puppy had not been paid for. Seems to me that would have been discovered as soon as they got home with the puppy.

It still does seem odd.....each spouse thought the other spouse had paid for it but yet they asked the store clerk to see another puppy before abruptly leaving the store, without seeing the other dog they had requested?

FYI...people LIE TOO. I still don't believe you and the more you talk...the less I belive. So, I am going to just stop looking at the story and responses and move on. Like most people will do. At this point...WHO CARES. You stole the dog, you went back and paid for the dog...story over.

If in fact your story is true, why would you refer to yourself as PUPTHIEF? I question your efforts to make yourself look innocent as the truth has really came out that you were attempting to get something for nothing and now everyone in your circle is aware that you are a thief which is what you yourself identified yourself as.

that isn't cool if they ran the story and petland called them and told them not to. i agree news people will run anything, i don't trust them and i don't believe everything i see on TV eve if it is "the news".
although i have to say i thought there was at least one form to fill out, we adopted a pet and we had to fill out a form, probably could have been a mistake though,
