The Missouri Court of Appeals today ordered a new trial for a man convicted six years ago in the shooting death of another man over a set of customized wire wheels.

In 2002, a Platte County jury convicted Cornelle D. Williams of second-degree murder, first-degree assault and two counts of armed criminal action in the slaying of Rusty D. Clinton, 22, during a confrontation Feb. 24, 2001, in an apartment near Parkville.

I was there with him as he laid on the ground trying to save his life.and now hearing the guy that shot him may get out makes me sick.9 years later still effects me seeing what I saw was horrible and I will never forget what prayers will be with the clinton family hearing rusty call for his mom still haunts me to this day.I hope the murder rotts in prison.

Ross, I honesty don't have words to express how grateful I am and will always be to you for being there for Rusty at that time. I'm sorry you have those memories, but thank you for being such an amazing person. Sabrina, yeah, we have endured two trials now and he is currently working on the first of his two appeals he has left. His best bet is to stay in prison or suicide. The fury that awaits him will never go away. Harsh but true!

I'm sorry all this has happend I was very very close to Rusty and Nate and everyone. I messed up myself making bad choices in my life and left all them in 1999 and went to prison for ten years. Rusty was one of the best men I have ever met in my whole life he was down to earth and had your back no matter what but let you know when you was in the wrong. I miss him everyday he is in my mind non stop and I was crushed when I was told. I tried very hard to get where Cornelle was and make right for Rusty I never could make it happen but maybe one day. I'm sorry for the loss of your family member. I feel he is still with me all the time and I know he is with you.
