As of June 30, the Unified Govermentís general-obligation bond indebtedness alone was $274 million, or about $1,741 for every man, woman and child in Wyandotte County. By contrast, the per capita debt load in wealthy Overland Park was $1,100.
The mill levy rate on property taxes in Johnson County is 11 mills compared to 96 mills for Wyandotte County for similar services.
