Hello, my name is Zach Mann and I am half writer of a muiscal play written about a ficticious Goodland, Kansas farm family. The name of the play is Sale Saturday and it is currently in rehearsal for a June premiere in beautiful Paonia, Colorado. I happened to be stumbling through the internet looking for some specific Goodland info and decided to drop your community a line to tell you what we were up to.
Sale Saturday is a two act musical about a farm family who is facing foreclosure. Though the subject matter seems grim and may strike too close to home for some, the goal is to focus attention on the loss of the American family farm system. I can assure you that the characters who represent the working farm folk of western Kansas are treated with the utmost dignity and respect.
