HCDA has one of the most corrupt leadership in the State. It is being run for developers and the people of this State's wishes have been ignored. Sickening.

Lingle's cold blooded move to cut funding for the Keiki Care program rates as an all time low for anyone who is suppose to be concerned about the needs of those she governs. Her true colors have come out. If she wants to be like her hero Sarah, maybe she should declare open hunting season on the NeNe and reintroduce whale hunting,

EzWay not Rail is a serious answer for real problems. Hannah Miyamoto's pro-rail post is seriously flawed. First, the talk is an AA analysis on a 2-lane reversible HOV. EzWay has a 3-lane reversible HOV. Second, the use of "more" people is false simply because a faster commute does not ADD people but simply makes the people arrive faster at their destination. Finaly, and this is the most important, EzWay relieves traffic congestion on the H1 which rail can not accomplish. Remember folks, Rail was conceived as an alternative to gridlock. Now that EzWay would relieve gridlock there is no justification anymore for Rail to be built.

Kirk Caldwell, you are a politician through and through. A scumbag, in other words. Here we are, facing one of the worst economic crises in history and you, you lousy slimeball, are trying to make political hay over needed budget cuts. Despicable!!

I don't rememeber reading anywhere in the Bill of Rights that government was responsible for the health cares of its citizens.

The way the government mis-manages everything it touches it would be the very last place I would turn to for anything.

"The sidewalks on Hotel Street cannot accommodate 10,000 more people an hour, in addition to riders on current routes."

Hannah Miyamoto's pro-rail propaganda rant is a weak attempt to make the multi-billion dollar rail system more attractive.

When have you seen thousands and tens of thousands of people an hour on Hotel Street because of buses dropping them off? Increased bus traffic on Hotel Street will NEVER have thousands and tens of thousands of more people an hour on the sidewalk because Dabus ridership is only 7%-10% on Oahu. Also- How do an extra 10,000+ new jobs an hour appear out of thin air in the downtown area?
Over 90% on Oahu use a car on a road as the main travel option and choice to get from point A to B to C to D. Dabus ridership is only 7%-10% on Oahu. Rail ridership after spending at least $4 billion will be even less.

Yes,Lingle should be back home on these islands taking care of her "house". Yet she is palling around and spreading falsehoods about Obama. He is more Hawaii then she is. This state is mis managed.

Stop Rail now should go after Stop Ward Developement Now. This gigantic project will be worst that the rail. The sea will dissapper form everyones view, north of Kona street. Why don't SRN focus on those issues.
