Wouldn't that be Dole Street?

> Both events grew out of an unsuccessful attempt to close down Date Street in front of campus to throw a big block party on graduation day, Stidman said.

This is the most exciting news for UH May graduates. Tiger and Christina put their smart heads together and try hard to do something special and meaningful for those graduates on their graduation day. This is a really wonderful idea. Planning, organizing and making it happen is not an easy task. They were brave enough to break UH graduation ceremony record and initiate this special event for UH graduates. Hopefully, this will continue as a UH tradition. We were UH alumni, but we did not have this opportunity on our graduation day. We wish we could have one at that time. We hope our two current UH kids will have this event going on when they graduate next year and the year after. Thank you, Christina Stidman and Tiger Fang. Hopefully UH will keep it going

I like the photo. The two UH student leaders, Christina and Tiger, look like they are jumping high over the ocean. They both look happy, energetic, beautiful, handsome and full of youthful life. An excellent photo.

Actually, both the cruise and Pipeline after party will have cash bars. Pipeline is 18+ so friends of the graduates who are not 21 can celebrate together with the graduates.

Why are we using TAX Payors money for a party, when the UH is falling apart and needs $$$ spent in better ways!!!

Do some research Dahhhhhh
the money being spent is from the student portfolio that has been accumulated over the years. The money invested in the student body portfolios produce at lesat $250,000 in dividens. How else do you think the student body is able to put up FREE concerts for students on a monthly basis? People and their stupid assumptions. Tax payer's money doesn't even reach the school. It has to find its way through an uphill river filled with politician's hands fishing for it.

Congrats to all the upcoming grads. You worked hard for this moment, and survived college. Make good choices so that you will live to see your future plans come to fruition. Looking forward to your leadership in the coming years.

The school should spend the money on improving the campus instead of a party. For example, they could invest in some campus maps and place them in key locations throughout the school. I can think of a lot of better things to do with $20K.
