On the lighter side of things, are there any people who have witnessed such sightings or sounds of this mythical, folklored, hairy creature in Montana? I was just wondering because I have heard of a few reports of them here in Montana. Seriously folks..

Yes, Al Beach, siting on Tank Hill from main street of Martin City. Search Hungry Horse News archives. I don't remember the year.

Yes, I had read about that one, Thanks! I also have talked to a few people who have either heard very unusual sounds, that they couldn't determine what kind of animal made them? I just think it is kind of hard to believe in Bigfoot... Yet kind of fun to think, maybe there is such an animal.
So I was hoping to hear of any other unexplained occurances that anyone may have been a witness to, but have never told their stories.?

Yes, I know most people laugh, I have never seen one, but when I was young I saw some mighty odd footprints near a spring in Northern California, I never said much about it.. Figured it to be a hoax. Now that I am older and have had the resources to do some investigating, there is alot of evidence that you just have to think twice about! I think it's neat that there just could be some truth to such a creature. Amazing? Yes! Possible? Yes!

Actually after sharing some of the sound recordings to some friends, someone they knew finally spoke of an incident near Libby, Mt. of an eerie sound they'd heard while they were fishing. It was enough to make them leave the area! This was also the first time they had ever said anything about it, because it sounded like the recordings I had of Sasquatch sounds.. And it caught them by surprise since it never crossed their mind at the time back then of what kind of animal could make such a noise.

You should report your sighting to Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization (BFRO) where they will definately not laugh about it!

I live up against Flathead National Forest in the Swan Mountains. I ran into something two days ago while walking my dog on a forest-service trail.

It was dusk, still somewhat light. My dog is old, and he has to lay down a lot to catch his breath. We stopped, he's panting like crazy and I glance over through this small birch tree. I see through the sparse leaves this silhouette of a person crouching down quickly. I say "Hello?"

I hear a grunt and the thing turns around and runs directly away from me.

Whatever it was, I can tell you it was bipedal, fast, and very hairy. Probably around 6 feet tall or so.

It could have been a person trying to mess with me, but I carry a .357 magnum on my hip with Buffalo-Bore cartridges (180gr, High velocity rounds designed to kill bear) to protect myself from Grizzlies. Any person stupid enough to try to play games with a Montanan like that is likely to get shot.

i have not seen a sasquatch, but am sure i have been in the vicinity of one-i went up to fishing lake in the mountains near kalispell mt in 1994. i was by my self and when i got to the camp ground there was no one there. i set up camp just off the lake near what looked like a logging road. i put my canoeinthe water and went for a paddle- this was when it hit me there was no noises, this was during septlong weekend, which in canada, where i am from is the first weekend in sept. i found this amount of quiet very disturbing, no chipmunks, birds or anything. this quiet continued after i returned to camp. i decided to explore the logging road. i walked about 20 minutes down, when i got the feeling of being watched, the quiet continued, to the point i decided that i would bunk down for the night and leave in the morning, not scared just the feeling that there was someone watching me and the quiet. that night while sleeping in my tent, i heard foot steps that sounded like they were right out side my tent- the ground there is that hollow sounding, if you know what i mean. i took my flash light out expecting to see an elk or deer, almost relieved to hear some noise.after shining my light around, i couldnt find anything or see anything, other than an odor that i shrugged off as the out house, which i was not too far from. i continued to hear this noise threw out the night and slept very little, at the crack of dawn, i packed up and left. i have never been back to spot and never will alone again.

I do believe in God, does that make me seem a bit crazy? Since I haven't seen God, yet. While thousands of people have actually seen Bigfoots or some unknown being in this world. It's really nothing to get all worked up about.

I have had one scary incident in the swan river area, back in 1995. My family and I were sitting around the fire talking and we all of a sudden hear a loud crying, screaming sound. We heard branches breaking, off in the distance. We yelled hello, fearing something had happened to a fellow camper, and after hearing the screams a second time a little further away we retreated to our motor home.( My grandfather loaded his gun.) The next day we walked down a trail, close to where we heard the noises. We had been on this trial the day before, picking flowers! As we got down the trail we noticed a dead deer it looked as if it had been torn apart. It was at that point that our family made our way back to camp to pack up and we left that afternoon. I never saw my dad rush us like he did that day! I KNOW WHAT IT WAS! BIGFOOT.

Are you the same Arlen Erickson that lived in Greece in the early 80s?
