Pauline Chu, stated lost faith in HPD; its motto of respect, honor, and integrity is just that, a motto. Ms. Chu, HPD motto is Pride, Honor, and Integrity. But beside the point your brother should have requested a supervisor on scene if he felt that he had been violated by the police officer. I hope that everything had been cleared in this incident if not your brother still could file a complaint with HPD Internal Affairs. As in any Police Department there are some rotten apples in the bunch and hope you don’t judge all HPD officers.

I have witness Waikiki HPD in action. They are ruthless when it comes to traffic citations or traffic violations. I see them hiding in bushes waiting to pounce on some guy who does a rolling stop or forget to wear their seatbelt. One time I arrive at a parking lot where two cops were looking closely at the license plate citing people who miss on their safety, as they passed my car they shined shined their flashlight at my plates. Go catch some criminals.

HPD motto means little if not acted on
There's been much talk about how the economy has affected tourism in Hawaii. Two weeks ago, my brother was visiting the islands, made a right turn into a hotel's valet area and was yelled at by a Honolulu Police Department officer, demanding his information, telling him that there's no excuse for ignorance no matter where he is from and then arresting him for questioning why he was receiving a citation. Most folks I've talked to think this is a common occurrence.

I've lost faith in HPD; its motto of respect and honor is just that, a motto.

I use to think the same thing about HPD. Till I took the time to see what the law says and what and how things should of be conducted by the citizen and the officer. I have found out that I as the driver need to know as much about the road I am driving on as possible. Then to realize that HPD gives their all everyday to the citizens and leadership of Hawaii. HPD are incredibly professional and the state of Hawaii have no idea of the organized crime and people that Hpd have to come up against everyday. Let us show them how much we love them by knowing the laws of the land so they can do their life saving and law abiding duty.

What does God think Sir that you would write something like this. HPD is protected from above as well as for the citizens of Hawaii. If you can go for your service revolver with them then you would have to go for your service revolver for the thousands that pray for them. Then reload and go and try to pull your revolver on God because he protects them as well. Ask God to remove this feeling from your heart so you can see that you are either for what is good or bad dear brother.

Of course the police officer whom you hold in such evident contempt -- who after all is putting his life on the line for YOUR protection every time he goes on duty -- would have had to be suspended while internal affairs investigated the conditions under which you suddenly began to cool to room temperature with one or more new apertures, but there is every likelihood that he would have been promptly re-instated once your fatuous idiocy came to light.

Airbags only work if you have your seat belt on otherwise you get squeezed out of the car like a ripe grape from it's skin.

As for the 15MPH ejection, he is probably right. I bet he has been on one heck of a lot more accident scenes than you ever will be.

Hey if you boy Schumer didn't open his mouth, the bank may not have failed. I was a bank examiner for 16 years and I can tell you banks survive because people believe thier money is safe. But when a US Senator says the bank is going to fail, it can start a run and the bank will fail because of a lack of liquidity. If a Senator says a bank is going to fail it probably will no matter how well run and capitalized it is.
