Do your dishes or else. This is getting all to common in our would. In fact it's out of control.

I'm still shocked with the case of the little girl Caylee Anthony.

Do you honestly believe that this was the reason for the murder? Come on people. There is more to this story than is being told. The newspaper wants to sell papers. They sensationalize stories like this rather than attempt to find factual information.

God be with the family during this horrible time.

What a very, very sad situation. To shoot and kill your son because of his "messy" habits. That is absolutely ridiculous. This must have been brewing for a while. Now, dad's in jail and mom and sis get to make funeral arrangements. What is this world coming to? Are we so stressed that a child leaving a mess triggers this kind of deadly response? I, for one, certainly hope not. God help us all.

You're right MrAloha. The real culprit is the karaoke machine. It is a fact that wherever there is karaoke, there is drinking. And drinking (the kid wasn't even 21 years old!) is a horrible activity. If we don't rid our culture of these karaokes, then we will see more sad days like this.

The reporter who thought up that inane and insensitive headline for the article should go back to journalism classes. That sounds like what a cheap rag would do.

Condolences to the family. Senseless death.

That's an uneducated assumption. My daughter and I sing karaoke everynight, no alcohol involved. We sing karaoke with my sisters and aunties every Friday, no alcohol involved. Don't blame this whole thing on a machine.

There is more to the story than what has been reported. Gambling ,debt , stealing is the cause and it is not the young man who is at fault.
The truth will be known.

I know how a child can be messy and drive a parent crazy because of their "I don't care" attitude. I am very sure that that young boy's father feels total remorse. And he will have to live with it for the rest of his life. His anger got the best of him. Children, especially teenage children, could be more compassionate and try to help their parents instead of making things worse. I know that while I was growing up, I did things that angered my parents, especially my Mom but, I do regret it. I truly wish I could turn back time but, Mom is no longer with us. I did do more for Mom when I became an adult but, I wish I could have done more. She sacrificed her life to give me life. A child should learn to make sacrifices, even if he/she doesn't want to. Later in life, they'll be glad they did. We should educate our children to be aware of their surroundings and at least be helpful, neat and clean. Everyone, at a point, will snap, if provoked too often. Let's take this lesson and wear it on our sleeves. During this time of year and with the economy in shambles, there's going to be more people who can't control their anger. A person can only take so much. Patience is vengence, say it the Lord. Don't give up and don't give in to anger.

PARENT WHO HAD IT ALREADY!
Daily stress lead to this last resort...VERY SAD!
I know of many families who's kids live at home and contribute nothing but only for themselves.(Nice truck, car, stereo, name brand whatever like the Joneses has..peer pressure?!) Take, take, and take day in and day out, and also back talk their adult relatives. This is definitely a big problem and a wake up call to all those kids who don't work and are living off their parents or grandparents.

REMEDY! Clean up after yourself, help out around the house, do the yard work, offer your services to them who help you, this won't kill you...BE GREATFUL if you can't help yourself but others are willing..APPReciation IS GOOD medicine too!

The suspect had a history of domestic violence, according the article in the Maui News. This didn't happen out of nowhere.
