Old High School Building in Eltopia

Was passing by on 395 and noticed the old school has been repainted. First time since I attended the school sixty years ago. Does anyone know what is going on with the bulding?

The Eltopia school is being turned into a residence and possible B&B. My father and uncles attented school here from the teens to the 30's. I live in an one hundred year old house about a half block from the school which my father purchased in 1949. My wife Vickie and I call it "THE 1909 HOUSE". What is your last name? I lived in Eltopia until 1959. Dale, I would guess that your Dad was Everett.

Yes it was. I am the youngest.(By the way my brother Ed just died of cancer on the 21st of April).
Yeah, I'm still in the old Phend House, trying to fix it up. I'm also doing research on Eltopia for a possible book. Is there anything you can lend me in the way of stories or photos (esp. photos)?
By the way, was it you or one of your brothers who rode the bicycle without any breaks from the town cistern clear down the hill to the railroad tracks? Dad said he could hear "WHOOOOOOAAAAAA" all the way down the hill! Hope to hear more from you. E-mail me at; [e-mail]
