Any way, who in the heck is Terri Commonwealth and why is she/he

The crowd has thinned a few holdouts remain. Lady Justice is dressed for love? The drama that was the show for too many years appears to have drawn to a close. I say appear because in this town any slight can set off a firestorm of “community involvement”. The latest offense is hard to judge, as the priority of the day seems to amend itself. Is it the truck stop? Is it the lawsuit? Is it the hookah lounge? No, no and no. Well maybe some of the first one.
It appears to be all about the light bulb now. The commentators have set their priorities high. Their rage is focused on a vacuum-sealed glass vessel. You see, Justices’ public works crew unfortunately changed bulbs on a sign at a local business. The crusaders of the moral right are fulminating over a filament. According to the Justice mayor,“…the crew was at the sight doing work and was asked by the business owner to help them out.” I suppose the business could have hired a service to perform the work like anyone else. But it’s not like they were asking for much. How long did it take? I don’t know, the lift was there and well, they pitched in. He further stated the business paid back the hourly cost of having public works perform the job. Is that fair? Is that unfair? I’ll leave that for others to decide.
The part of this that confounds people is the fact that public works was also “hired” to build a decorative fence for the crusaders own Campaign Manager, who just happened to be the interim Justice Public Works Director. A fact that has been brought up so many times people have forgotten about it. Well not everyone, but certainly the crusaders have. Judgments anyone? I’m not going there, I’ll go somewhere else.
It turns out that the crusaders aren’t content with just bringing the “problem” and photos to the attention of the Village board. No they went all the way to Loony Tunes itself to get help to petition the Government for a redress of grievances using that most noble of all medium. That’s right, the hand flyer, that very effective and sometimes conspicuous piece of paper that can find a place somewhere between informative and the circular file. So, what was on the flyer? We are all so well informed when we get to see a likeness of the iconic Lady Justice dressed like a whore and it really explains things when you add in a picture of a public works crew changing the lights on a sign. Like I said, real out there stuff. There is also a diatribe on the rightful use of public resources, which I do agree with. But I find it hard to be taken in by the same political party pushing this stuff, which also allowed for a publicly built decorative cedar fence to be installed for the guy that helped their people get elected to office.

Thanks for reposting I had not read that article. I can tell you didn't either.

That doesn't read as defensive that reads like someone that is amused over all the needless drama that is going on in this town.

Here's the big question, when are the people in the People's Voice Party going to do something constructive with their time? Other than apparently photoshop hooker photos onto handbills? Or spend the entire day on topix complaining? You guys are not offering any solutions that make sense.

Also, there is a good point made here, why was it okay for the People's Voice Party's campaign manager to get a fence put in by public works but it isn't okay for the same thing to happen to a local business? why isn't anyone from the People's Voice Party answering that question?

I think all this article does is highlight the fact that the PVP is pretty hypocritical and can't find any real issues to grab onto.

Who was the trustee supervising public works at that time? was it mary mcgee or phil depaola? The trustee who's area of oversight it was should know about a fence being installed by public works employees on company time. Whoever was over seeing that area wasn't doing too great of a job.

Also, that should have been a payment that came into the village if the chief of staff paid for the fence. Why wasn't this brought up by the trustee over seeing finance? The entire People's VOice Party board sat silent and allowed this to happen with or without board approval for the person that was their campaign manager and viillage chief of staff.

Kris is wrong in this, but so was the rest of the sitting board, Ms, Bartoszek, Ms. McGee, Mr, Depaola, and whoever was sitting in that open seat be it Mr. Koslowski or Mr. Pastorino.

This is the problem, they knew about this fence eventually, if you are trying to lead us to believe that it was something that Kris did. They didn't speak up or say anything.

This gives them 0.0 credibility.

If you had checked you dictionary further, you would have found out that the same meaning is applied to all political parties, including the VVP, Coalition, the UP,PVP,Friends of Krisztof Wackywitz, Friends of Kathy Svoboda and Friends of my dog Rover
and of course the always present Independent Party who ever they are. Agree?

Not especially. I was refering to the public works for hire plan. It seems to me that they are double standard and that is hypocritical.

That is misleading. Mary Mcgee lives next door to the fence public works built and I don't think it needs board aproval. It's under $20,000. or at least I hope it is.

It doesn't matter how much the damn fence cost. The fact is Carter took advantage of his position and had the workers install the fence. Why is he so special. Mr. Figura has lived in the Village much longer than Carter. The Village installed a barrier on his property at the end of Blazer. Carter should have had the same.

Mary Mcgee took her marching orders for Carter and Bartoszek it is no suprise to me that public works did projects on both thier properties for free. I say fre because I have yet to see the cancelled check for the work don on Carters Lot
