Being mid February and election time is quickly approaching, does anyone know if a debate or town meeting with the candidates is planned? I think that would be a good idea since we haven't had new leadership in so long. The residents should have an opportunity to see all of the candidates on the same "stage" and compare them.
I agree. I have read Dino and Johns opinion on this and Lou doesn't seem interested, but who is going to make it happen?

You would appear to be correct. I was talking to neighbors who are on Facebook. They said they are tired of Carr and his insinuations that are so ambiguous. With phrases like word on the street, someone deep inside the organization only make people believe he is making everything he posts up.
We are tired of the negativity. We want answers as to what these candidates are going to do to improve Crestwood now and in the future. Because of Carr’s very vague rants that basically cannot be proven he is turning people off at an extraordinary rate.
He needs to prove his points and not come up with a long time resident who has ties to Prestia/Stranczek and another old regime, now do you see where people get turned off. I was leaning towards John. But after reading Carr in Facebook now I am down to two candidates. If a person would put someone of Carr’s caliber on his slate he does not get my vote and apparently the vote of everyone else I know. It is coming down to Dino and Lou. Time will tell.
After the election I truly believe John will realize he made a colossal blunder having Carr on his slate.

I agree with you. Carr brings nothing positive to the campaign. Always negative and presents no plans or propsoals as to what he will do to correct the current problems. Very very negative. I was at Lou's fundraiser and that is what everyone was talking about. There were a lot of residents and business owners at the fundraiser.

Toscas has no idea the damage Carr is causing his ticket. We do not want anbody with his mean spirited demeanor representing us. We surely do not need a politican who posts baseless accuizatons against long time residents with out any proof.

He brings nothing to the ticket and wil cost Toscas the election because of his outbursts.

Lookslike you got through to Toscas?Carr. Did you read Carr's response on Facebook? I think the damage is already done and they can not recover from the damage this loose cannon already caused. Their ship is sinking at an accelerated ratenot enough time for damage control to recover from this mess. Toscas will be luck if he can retain his trustee postion after this mess. Great job Gary you single handidly wrecked John's political career.

Your a loser. Toscas will win easily. Presta is a criminal and doesn't have an intelligent thought in his mind. He can't hold a candle to a proven polished candidate like John. People don't care about stuff like that. Have fun supporting a criminal that poisoned you.

I'm voting for Toscas as well. We need new leadership in Crestwood. We cannot continue with family and friends of family running this town into the ground. There are many great things we can do as a community to better it. I've reached out to Toscas and am ready to help as I believe he offers the most experience that would be of benefit to our town.

A lot of things have been said about the candidates. I know all 3 candidates pretty well and I want to share what I know about them.
First Dino, he is a nice guy. I order pizza from him and have a had conversation with him. I worry about his experience to run a town which has so many up hill battles. So his zero experience is my problem with him.
Second Lou Presta. I live on Lou's block and again he's a very nice person. I consider him a friend. I have had very extensive conversations with him in person and he has never given me an acceptable answer about this water issue. I believe he really doesn't have an answer for what has been done. I just really don't get him, he seems as if the light bulb is not really on. I have a problem with him always voting with the mayors and not really giving his opinions. It seems that when you talk to him in person the responses are short and not very intelligent. But then you read his posts on Facebook it seems that it's a hired person writing these things for him. That bothers me because I know him very well so I can tell its not him writing those things. Again he's a friend of mine so I can't bash him personally but as my mayor I can.
Third is John Toscas. I know him very well I've hired him as my attorney on several occasions including wills, trusts, real estate. He exceeded my expectation tremendously! He is a very brilliant Lawyer. He helped me appeal my taxes at the assessors office and saved me a good sum of money. I really appreciated this because I've lived here for 30 years and never have done that so I was very thankful for that. I also have to talk about the crestwood soccer program. Because this is his greatest achievement and I have thanked him for donating all that time to this community. Neither of the other candidates give time like that. My kids were in soccer 25 years ago and now my grand kids are there and the transformation from what it was, to how it is today just blows my mind.
People can make their own decisions on who to vote for and please do so. But as a friend of all 3 candidates this is an easy pick for me. John Toscas is by far the best candidate and by far the best person. His contributions to crestwood soccer says it all. I have found that he is a man that will run at a problem head on and never back down till its solved. It's not about the things you do when people are looking, it's about the things you do without recognition. He's been there working for our community and donating his free time to a great organization.
Before someone write something negative about my post please start it out by saying the charity work the others two candidates have donated time too. Neither have done work like that. Charity work is a true measure of a man.

Chet and his regime including Presta and the rest of the old trustees have already run Crestwood in the ground. Because of the water scandal, our home values have plummeted, hundreds of personal injury lawsuits are awaiting trial, the village is now MILLIONS OF DOLLARS and counting in debt with lawyers fees, our police chief and others will soon be headed off to federal prison. Crestwood is the laughing stock of the south suburbs. The only way things will change is if we get rid of the old and bring in the new!! Otherwise it will be just more of the same.
Any public official that was voted into office and would allow poison water to be pumped into the homes and businesses is not in any way shape or form fit to lead a community, PERIOD!!! All that knew about the water scandal and did nothing to stop it, should be punished to the fullest extent of the law!!
