Your grammer is too poor to be a business person, if you are a business person, I doubt if you are local.

Judged: 1 1 1 I just wonder why the campaigning with the Mayor and Administrative Assistant was needed to make this happen? Just be careful what you wish for, you may not get what you expected? |

The only tow's this involves are the ones called out by the police. If something happens and the police are involved you have the right to call your own towing service. The city does not pay a dime toward these tow's, so the taxpayer is not involved. The city should do everything it can to insure they use local businesses in all cases, towing or otherwise, as long as the prices are competitive.

Are you trying to tell us there might have been some donation or contribution that was given to acquire this favorable treatment? We can surely look up any contributions paid to any campaigns to see how involved the local businesses may have been to direct the change in city code for this work. Maybe some administrative assistant has a hand in it, sure does seem similar to past history. Awh & Begora, would you be telling us about some type of Shennagans going on here? It is the season for leprechauns. Don't leprechauns tell wild stories they want you to believe so you won't steal their pot of gold? Or maybe this time they donated a pot or two of gold! |

You do not always have the right to your own tow when the police are involved. Be clear about this. If theres a crash at 159th and Cicero, they wont wait for your tow. DUI? Not your own tow. |
I still believe you have the right to your own tow, even if there is a crash. My daughter had an accident at 159th and Cicero, and was able to call her own tow. DUI, who cares? Don't drink and drive.

Is towing all the Judge does? If so then why would you begrudge them their business? They have made contributions to all the Mayors since Gordon, so I am not sure how relevant that worry is to this discussion?
If it is a conflict of interest then maybe they should be purged from the process for a while. I would tend to believe that this is not the only business that has donated to a mayoral campaign. I believe Judge also was a sponsor of Oak Fest the last couple of years. Would there be a connection with Oak Fest and Oak Forest City Government??? Maybe in this economy the towing should be put out to a bid process? |

Judge Automotive started out as just a repair shop and from what I hear not a very good one. Then , he bought a tow truck and was added to the list after Kelly was elected mayor.
My car was towed by Judge a year or so ago because it broke down in traffic. The police called him out. The driver was talking to me about how they repair city employees, police officers personal vehicles for free. How do you stay open like that? |
That is simply not true. Judge automotive does fix city vehicles if they have a flat tire on the street, or minor breakdowns, thus saving taxpayers money. He does not do free repairs for city employees. He has been very active, and supportive of all city functions ever since I have known him, and that is a good thing. Most of the local businesses are active in city programs, and I cannot see how anyone can fault them for that, and it is not a conflict of interest. I say again, you do not have to use the tow called by the police. You can use anyone you want.

If Judge's is so called "active and supportive to the city" why does he sublet all his transmission work to repair shops outside Oak Forest? I believe there are 2 or 3 transmission shops in your town. By the way you talk you seem like you a partner or owner of Judge's Auto.(Seems like you know alot about his business)
I have no relationship with Judge other than being a chamber member along with him.
Sounds like you may have your own personal, or business axe to grind. Why don't you admit it? How can we be sure you are telling the truth about where he takes his transmission work, and how would you know? Do these shops call you and say, Judge took another transmission out of town? Jealousy can be a driving force. |
Hey, Chamber Member Dude, why was Mr. Judge so mad at the city the other day, did something happen? Something about a call he received from the Mayor's office that did not make him a happy camper.
Maybe you know? |
