Recently I went in to a local bar in Justice called Duett Bar for a drink and realized that their video slot and poker machines were online and playable. I stay pretty up to date on village news and was reading the latest agenda on the Justice, IL website and found the following:

Motion: To approve the business license of Fair Share Gaming, LLC, 8052 W. 186th Street, Tinley
Park, IL 60487, a gaming terminal operator doing business at the Duett Bar.

I personally know these machines have been active for over a month and people have been going in there to play the machines. I did a little more investigating into the situation and in Article 3-125 of chapter 3 of the Justice, IL code of ordinances I have found the following:

Sec. 3-125. Slot Machines:

(a) It shall be unlawful to maintain or expose for public use any slot machine, operated with a slug or coin, for the use or operation of which a fee is charged, without having first obtained a license therefor.

The two previous passages state that it is illegal for those machines to be active right now and the village is allowing the machines to remain on even knowing that the license for the terminal operator for that establishment is not approved.

It just seems like a lot of businesses get special treatment while other businesses have to jump through hoops to get things down in this town. Its sad

I would call the Illinois gaming board and report it. The mayor is good friends with the owner of the bar. He is in there on occasion. There are so many problem in the village currently and with the up coming election all this negativity can unseat a few people currently on the board. I read the other posts about the police department and the corruption there Seems that the chief is being rewarded for his wrong doing and has been on PAID leave for over twos months now which has cost the village over 20,000 There also was an officer involved in a sex assault allegation that I hear was a cover up. My understanding is the board and mayor have known about this since July. It's sad that us justice residents have to pay taxes for corruption among other things. I hope the village board wakes up before all the lawsuits bankrupt the village.

No law suits isn't the former chief of police suing the board for wrongful termination, or emotional damages or something like that?

Lets see if that ends up costing the town or not

Anyone know if it is true they fired one of the guys from public works? Some kind of harassment problem?

Know they lost another guy for using some of the village property for personal gain...

Wondering if something is going wrong over there with the new chief??

It operates by federal reserve notes, not a slug or a coin. And I don't believe video slots are under the same definition or slot machine. It isn't a machine. It's a monitor

Just saw this. What the hell are you talking about, personally know? The state turns them on and off. You cant get them on until the state says so. the town has no authority on the state. Stupid know it all. Liar.
