Oh c'mon now, I'm sure Jachymiak got the same treatment as any other first time offender with a good attorney. You people give this guy too much credit for being influential. After all, he just runs a towing operation in The Village of Justice not the whole state.

In my humble opinion, what the residents have to do come election time, in November and April, is vote the whole lot out. Lets give the State of Illinois and the Village of Justice a POLITICAL ENEMA.

LTLT-

Respectfully, I disagree with you. I don't believe that he got the same treatment as any first time offender. I don't know if he has the influence but I'm sure he has the money to pay for a far better lawyer than most first time offenders.

The money that he gets by having the towing/repair/ and auto body contract from our village. Just drive by there today there is a Justice PD car parked up there in the gravel. His business is milking the village dry and his soon to be wife get to vote on approving the financials. He tosses his donations around and now our tax payers get to pay for vendors, media consultants, attorneys who's backs should be bloody from all this political back scratching.

So, i don't believe he got the same treatment as any first time offender, and I think he should be thanking the taxpayers of the village of Justice for paying for his attorney for him to boot.

Let's still ask the fair question, why isn't towing split with another company in our village? Maybe if someones soon to be relative from District sat on the board they'd get more towing contracts too.

Take a look at the latest board minutes on the Village of Justice website District has been up there asking. They got a letter back from "Trustee Pellegrino" telling them vaguely they weren't getting any of the towing business.

PLease read the second paragraph of my comment. I think that is the only solutuion to the problem in the village of Justice and the State of Illinois, "VOTE THE BUMS OUT" As far as the other towing company is concerned, my humble opinion; a company that big must have attorneys working to have their problem brought to an eqitable resolution with the village.

Don't get me wrong, I still think that there is an enormous conflict of interest on the board, and with the park district regarding two trustees, one married to a park district member and the other one supposedly engaged to Technicraft's Jachymiak who BTW has his sister or cousin also on the park district board.

I'm surprised that no one has brougt ethic charges based on conflict of interest against these people.

Classy.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. If you can't effectively argue with someone. Get angry and insult him personally.

With classy folks like this, the village is doomed.

Ralph Malph,

I will have to disagree with some of your points. I do think that it is unethical to have people that are related, or soon to be related voting on agreements between the two bodies. When Trustee Bartozek and McGee vote on issues like intergovernmental agreements between the Village and the Park district and do not recuse themselves is is very unethical and inappropriate. They have a vested interest in having the specific points/measures that their relatives or spouses want to be voted through. While it is not illegal to do this is casts a shadow and looks inappropriate.

The same goes for Trustee Bartoszek approving payables for Technicraft, and also considering that the partner for Technicraft is the Chairman of her politlcal party, and the Chariman of the political party( the People's Voice Party) that all of the seated Trustees are currently members of it also seems rather unethical that they are voting for payments for his business and that his business has the towing/repair/autobody contract in the village when there is at least another company in the village itself that could split the contract if we are trying to support local businesses. Further, if we are not trying to support local businesses then we should try to split the contract into three seperate parts and leave it open for bid at the best price to try to save the village in revenue.

As far as the instability at the Park district if "Dan" and "Olivia" were to resign there are enough seated trustees to cover the positions as well as a $32,ooo a year paid consultant to cover the gap in time it would take to replace them. I'm sure that for the price that Mr. Vallez is being paid he would be able to more than handle the necessary issues that would come up and that the other seated Park Board Trustees are capable individuals that could shoulder the issues temporarily.

As far as suggesting that Trustee Mary McGee resign her term is up for re-election this year I believe so it would be a moot point to do so prior to that. As far as Trustee Bartoszek the value of that happening still remains to be seen.

Also, I would suggest to any interested residents to check out the budget that the village prints available to be read in the Des Plaines Valley news. You can also request copies of the fiancials by filling out a Freedom of Information Act request at the Village Hall. You can take a look for yourself at the dire situation financially that the current administration has put the village in. Better to review the documentation for yourself and become better informed.

Also, "Dan" and "Olivia' ran unopposed on the Park District slate during this last election according to David Orr's office so while yes, the voters did elect them. It wasn't as though they did have an awful lot of candidates to choose from.

So yes, the Village does have to "take it's medicine" so to speak and deal with them until their terms are up and someone steps up and wants to take on the responsibility to run against them.

It seems to me that you are extremely dense! If someone wanted to take reasonability for the park district then they would have already but no ran in the last election. It’s easy to judge and criticize someone else. Why don’t you take a look at yourself? From my understanding the last commissioners on the board voted to hire and give pay rises to the there family. Where were u then? Its said that people in this village do not want to help out there community. There are towns that surround our village that have been establish the same amount of time or even less that are far more advanced then we are. I’m sure that no one wants to run because the park district board does not get paid. I’m sure if they did everyone would be flocking to get in.

saidtosay, What is "reasonability"? I'd love to discuss more with you but I don't understand what you are trying to say. While you can call me dense all you'd like to- you have communication issues.

Who on the last board and voted to hire and give pay raises to their family? Please cite sources for this. Don't just give us your "understanding" of this give us somewhere to go and review and reference this at or it didn't happen.

The people in this village have tried to help out "There" community but they are tired of being run over by the bullies in this group and are within their rights to speak up. Regardless of whether the park district is a paid position or not doesn't mean that people would be 'flocking' to get in or not.

While we are on topic on the park district here. Where is all that grant money that they have been promising us for months? Where is the money for all the lighting projects that we are supposed to be getting? Where is all the money for the projects that we are supposed to be getting done that the $30,000+ a year consultant was selling a few months ago like resufacing the basketball courts and putting in a play park for toddlers?

Sorry but if you think that these genius we have on the park board voting to pay some guy $32,000 per year to be a part time consultant is a good decision then I've got some ocean front property in Montana I'd be happy to sell you. The stuff he's revolutionizing the park district with? None of the trustees could open a catalog from the CPD or a surrounding town and put something together?.

Whenever they want something we hear about all this stuff that they're going to be doing for the village but where is it at?

go to the park district or the library and read the minutes of the former administration and you will find some interesting reading

That is pretty vague. You are going to have to point us more in the right direction here. What years, months, are we looking for. What specific ordinances/votes are we looking for. "Interesting reading" is just too vague. We could be going back through the minutes for 10 years and not understand what you are hinting at.

Cite some dates and months or ordinances for us to review. I'm interested in what you're hinting at but you're going to have to narrow the field.

I'm still looking to find out where the grant money for the lighting project went to.

I'm also still waiting to find out where all the funding for the improvements they promised back several months ago is going to come from.

Wrong. I have a full time job and I don't even work for the village!

I'm guessing that you don't have any actually facts or points of references and are just here talking garbage. Come back and try again when you have some actual facts to bring to the table. Thanks for playing!
