"Unions, for example, are starting to realize what many employers have seen coming since the law passed: The legislation will drive up the cost of health insurance, rather than drive it down. Though labor groups enthusiastically backed the Affordable Care Act at the time, the reality of rising costs has driven them to press the Obama administration for government subsidies to union workers. Such subsidies, which the law never envisioned for the employees of small, unionized employers who provide insurance, would drive up the cost of the law.

The unions are belatedly recognizing that without the subsidies, employers will either drop their insurance altogether as costs rise or risk losing business to non-unionized competitors with lower overhead.

The Obama administration thus far has declined to provide the subsidies, but it risks alienating a key Democratic ally if it holds firm. And the unions are unlikely to back down. Union leaders point out that for workers, losing union-negotiated health insurance would undermine one of the central points of joining a union in the first place.(Of course, the central purpose of the new law was to make health insurance available to everyone, union or not, so the only thing unions can try to offer their members is better or cheaper coverage than the rest of us enjoy. Now they want the rest of us to subsidize this for them.)"

My premiums have gone down and coverage has improved. The Affordable Care Act was long overdue. I credit Mitt Romney for pioneering it in Massachusetts as Governor. That state has the best health care of all 50 states now. It will be Romney`s legacy that Obamacare was modeled after his own brainchild. For that, I commend Mitt Romney.

Don't believe the hype. This is propaganda from Jerry, who cannot be trusted. He is merely "messing with people," to euphenize his statement as to why he is here. He seeks to fool people into voting against themselves. Don't fall for it.

The fact is Obamacare was fought so fiercely against by the Republicans because they knew people would love it like they do social security and it would cement another generation's alliance with the Democratic Party. That, and to kowtow to their crazy-ass teabagger and religious nut base. they knew if it was passed it would make the election of 2012 a realigning election just like 1936 was. Thus the millions spent on lies by Koch Brothers and similar nefarious manipulators.

The lying coward who posted this is merely a low level operative for plutocracy, a man devoid of honor and integrity.

Doubtful. But simply based on our personal health stats alone, I imagine only one of us will still be running around town in 10 years.

My costs went down too. Coverage also was expanded compared to last year. Health care reform is long overdue and the majority seem to appreciate it.

You're confused. The ball-bearing belly pivot isn't a push up. It's just rolling back and forth on a gut. Lol.

my income tax went up slightly but my medical plan payment at work went went down. it more than offsets the increase in taxes. so far i am happy with it. some people should give the prez a chance instead of trying to predict everyones demise.
