Does anyone remember Tony's Italian Restaurant on West 7th Street where the Knight of Columbus Hall is now? That was the late 60's early 70's.

Anybody remember the huge "Ghetto Burgers" {no joke, really} At the Sunset Cafe early 80`s? The place is now a game/comic book shop. The late Dexter Clardy was the proprietor.

I was wondering what are some good restaurants "now-a-days" I was told to avoid a few of them, but what are some good ones in junction city and the surrounding areas. I'm not a fan of chain restaurants, I like to support the locals.

My opinion only but, Stacy's in Grandview Plaza for breakfast, if you're okay with the smoking. The back area isn't too smokey. The new Mexican place in the old Country Kitchen building is fantastic, the Italian place in the old Denny's is pretty good too. I've had mixed results at Coaches, but it isn't too bad. There is a Korean place on Grant Avenue, I don't know the name but it's in the old German Village building, that has the best Korean food in town. Certainly the best bulgogi!

My fave was Ericka's Gasthaus, and 2nd the German Village but I'm not sure what happened to either place. I like the Korean Garden, Peking, and Senor Tequila ( the new mexican place). Besides those 3 places, I usually leave JC to dine out :(

I loved the chicken and I loved the little bowls with lemon scented wipes to wash our fingers with. I loved the food...great food...clean place and very pleasant atmosphere. Miss it much...nothing comes even close to it around here now.

The best was the onion rings and the atmosphere. All the photos on the walls. It was just terrible when it burned. I lived just behind the place on Hickory when it burned. I was really bummed out when it wasn't rebuilt. Cohen's was the best place to take your date for Homecoming, Prom, Snowflake dance, etc. A lot of kids missed out on something special after that night.

stacy's has decent food. Tyme out if ok , but not great steaks.

Kite's has bene goign downhill in quality of food and drinks at te var recently

Coaches is average--but slow and limited menu.

Napoli's is pretty good.

J's 50's diner seems to be dying off.

Both mexican places are good. Chinese/Korena food--wellm they keep the stray population under control, what more can you ask?

I worked at the tastee freeze the summer of 1974. It was a good time. The owner was something else. He'd get drunk and pass out in his el camino behind the building most nights.

Was just thinking about their egg and olive salad dressing..., YUM! Looking for the recipe, but.., NO LUCK! Used to work there many years ago, and they also had the best pralines right by the cash register! Wish I could find that salad dressing recipe!

I was about 10 when JD's pizza hired me and my friend to cut the little bit of grass out front. Every saturday we would spend 30min cutting grass and Raymond would give us a large pizza and a pitcher of pop. Great memories
