Mick Wunder is such a hypocrite and I’m sick of it!

I remember when Mick Wunder was younger and freely used the “N” word. Now he acts like he’s the African American’s best friend. If you vote for him you deserve what you get!

I remember when Mick Wunder was a Republican and then switched to Democrat for his own benefit and self interest. Anything for a vote!

How many have seen Mick Wunder out drunk in public. Especially with his firemen friends. That’s some embarrassing representation of the city!

How many know that the fireman’s union was a major contributor to his campaign. No wonder he wants to give so much of our tax money to them. Are we in Illinois where you can buy a politician? I don’t know if this is legal but it sure isn’t ethical!

I’m tired of standing by while Mick Wunder runs my town into the ground with debt and corruption. People, please do some research before you vote! PLEASE!!

I disagree that having a drink with a fireman should disqualify a canidate. I am disappointed that any american would openly admit to being a democrat, and i dont know how one would gain from doing so it would seem more like some kind of personal self punishment to me.
all that being said i still support Mick Wunder, All things being equal this town has its issues (as every town does) but Mick has served this community for many many years now. and the town is better of now than it was befor he became politically active.
the other canidates dont have as clear of a professinal personal and certainly not political track record.
things arent perfect now never have been and never will be. but dont get caught up in the catch phrases of "change again" severly limited experiance and a promise of change isnt working out on the national scale why would it work locally?

Shawn-on the surface it may appear that Mick has served the community but in reality, Mick has just served himself for many many years now.

do you have any examples of how he has served himself?
im not a life long junction city resident, but my brother was stationed here in the 80's and i can see from his discription of junction city to what i see now that this town is doing better now than it has in the past.

I FULLY SUPPORT MICK and will always support him, so what if he enjoys having a beer with the people that protect and serve his family as well as your family.. I didn't know it was illegal to have a drink or two... SHAWN I'm with you on this one, I've lived here my whole life and have seen JC grow into what it is now and it has changed for the better.. He supports the people who protects each and everyone of you in this City to include me.

I went to the town forum on Saturday where the potential commissioners and school board members had the opportunity to speak and answer the public’s questions.
You are begging the public to do research before voting. I would suggest you ask the candidates to do some research before running. Of the commissioner candidates Mike Rhodes and Mick Wunder clearly were the most informed of the issues. While George Marcus was more articulate than Scott Johnson they both attempted to paint the other candidates as irresponsible stewards of the communities tax dollars. Mick and Mike were able to inform the voters in attendance how much of the money being spent is not coming directly out of the city budget but from state and federal grants.
Of course Scott threw another childish temper tantrum and called the city voters idiots, AGAIN.
Scott claims to truly care about the town as a whole but isn’t aware of our lower income citizens. When asked about Regency Park he wanted to perform a study on how much use our city parks receive before committing any more money to them, because he doesn’t think the parks are utilized. This is a double edge sword because our parks are heavily utilized and just a drive by would reveal that. And the obvious second side to the sword is regency park IS NOT A CITY PARK. But we the voters are the STUPID ones.
George Marcus and Scott Johnson obviously have some differing points of view from the other candidates however the points seem restricted to a small area of concerns that affect them personally and professionally and they don’t take the total picture of all the other variables of running a city into consideration. Perhaps George could catch up with some experience but Scott appears to be hopeless immature and a slave to his temper.
So I completely agree with you do some research before voting but expect your candidate to do the same.

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE the light is starting to shine on what his agenda really is. For all of you out there thinking that what JC really needs is change. Good luck to you all and God may help you if he is elected.

I agree!!! I always see Jackson, paxton and all the other fireman who think they are hot shit drinking. I don't know how they get by with drinking and driving all the time. I think they pay the cops not to bust them along with paying mick for all his support. Why doesn;t Rod do anyhting about his employees getting drunk every weekend????

Im going to go out on a limb and guess Rod hasnt done anything about his employees drinking on the week ends because its a legal social activity that more people participate in than those that dont.

How many firemen do you need to buy a politician?

FIVE-- 1 to make a liquor run and 4 for a quorum to make a union campaign donation!

I would say Shawn is not a fireman, but Ive been called worse.
In fact I find it simply amazing that being called a fireman on this thread has a negative conintation to it. I equally find it almost amusing that in a political campaign a canidate is being attacked for what was it "associating with other public servants in public"?
I got to see Mick Wunder for the first time Saturday at the community question and answer public forum. I have never personnaly met him but if the best dirt his opposition can dig up on him is that he has a beer with firefighters or that he has the support of the local fire fighters union well sounds like he must be a hell of guy and quite the canidate.
