Its not a free walk if you have NOT tried it. I just cant grasp how someone can talk bad about a place and has never stepped foot in the establishment. And theres no use in identifying who i am because you would have no idea who i was and you would just assume i know the people who own it. So once again quit hiding behind a screenname and go try it. Im glad that my town has people who try to better it, unlike you who only try to bring the good down.
I haven't knocked it once. I just think some of the posters here have ulterior motives, like yourself.

I am baffled as to why so many people have an opinion of a place that has only been open a couple of weeks. Some of the "for" supporters read like ads for the place and are obviously placed by people associated the business. As with any new restaurant you won't know what it's like until it has been open a while, regardless of any preferences of the owner.
wow, just because one has a nice comment about the place you jump to conclusions. This forum is full of negativity and shows how the people of junction city really are.

Well I went there. The menu is too dark to read in a poorly lite dinning room. The serve is poor. Example couple behind me had to ask another waitress for the drinks they ordered twice. Another waitress waked around with two plates of food asking people if they ordered that. The stuffed mushrooms I ordered were not even cooked. Had to send them back. The entrees come with one side. So if you choose a starch. You pay $2.00 extra for a vegetable. If you choose a vegetable you pay $2.00 more for a starch. Oh they do give you a salad. A whole pile of spinach with 3 cucumbers and 1.5 tomatoes. They take a cherry tomatoe and cut it i half. You get three halts of a cherry tomatoe. Maybe the live music is to distract you from the crappy service n the lack luster food. I can't tell you since I never heard the band play. Cause they were warming up for 45min. Perhaps the owner Steven should go back to the drawing board with this one. I spoke with him about the service and my unpleasant experience. Let's just say the half of cherry tomatoe does fall far from the tree. Finding good customer service in JC is few and far between. That's why business don't last here. Quality and service are the key.

Hey baffledtoo theres your real review.....but there again its Junction City and shes mad over cherry tomatoes being cut in half.....compare that to your other two options in town and ur lucky its not iceberg lettuce and dressing......and the sides? I was actually at kites last night and id trade a good eatable steak, salad, roll and one side for there sorry excuse of a steak and two sides.....and service wise.....its jc you find a few good ones here and there but most dont care about there job and if they got fired youd just deal with new people who dont know what there doing and suck as well..... iv frequented all three (coachs, kites, stevies) the last few weeks and kites service and food sucks, coachs has friendly staff but most cater to the usuals but typical bar food and kinda high prices and stevies is good food but the services is kinda slow but always get helped in reasonable time and love the live band that is free.....everyone has an opinion but look at your other options in jc....maybe fried food is all it can handle, too much class at stevies? Not for me...

I went there. Service was great but the food was blah at best. Unless the food quality and quantity improve drastically they will end up having to close.

Wife and I went to Stevie's last night. We had hopes for a decent restaurant in JC. To put it mildly I won't return.
Arrived at 7:38 PM, was directed to a seat. Waited approx 5 min for someone to come take drink order, not too bad but a little disappointing. Ordered the draft beers, good temp, quick to arrive. Ordered the Salmon. The salad arrived after a bit of a wait, probably 10 minutes. We had finished the beers by then, no offer for refill before waitress took off. The salad, few spinach leaves, some lettuce, piece of small tomato and cucumber slice, not much to hold over for the next 30 min wait on the main course. Still no drink refills, spent 30 minutes drinking the water, talking, looking at bland decor; wondering if anyone else is getting their food. After long wait food finally arrives, the salmon was very good. Tried the red potato's and asparagus; ice cold and taste like made yesterday. The wife traded off the salad for the asparagus side, there were probably 4 very tiny pieces of asparagus, which was ok since it was refrigerator cold anyways. Asked to speak to a manager, was told I could find her in a room, waiter pointed to hallway and walked away. Finally got another person to listen, told we wouldn't be eating the food as it was cold, wanted to pay for beer and leave, after spending almost an hour in this restaurant.
Overall, a failure and very disappointing. Won't return. While the waitress was friendly, they were poorly trained and the food simply put the exclamation point on the experience.
Best wishes to Stevie's, I hope you learn how to provide a dining experience before you go under. We need the restaurants in JC, but so far it seems like a shining example of why previous ones haven't succeeded.

Im glad that someone is finally standing up to a dress code in this town.bikers are not special i know lots of biker groups that go dressed and act like normal people.nothing is more uncomfortable than being around that out of control group at kites, that think they own the place.dont know if your part of that group but theres nothing wrong with a dress code at a NICE restaurant! Junction really amazes me, i dont think they can handle a nice place. Maybe it will close and people can just go back to there simple sports bar fried food way of life and the rest of us who want that class can keep driving to Manhattan!!!

From what I understand, the group of combat veterans who were denied service at Stevie's were volunteers helping with the set up and tear down at Jammin' in JC.

That's because they were wearing their leather vests and smelled of sweat and hard work. Not the Stevies style.

From what I understand they weren't missing much.

There is a full sign in the ladies' room. Says family oriented business, cannot wear biker colors or bandanas and the list goes on. From what I read...."NO BIKERS"

Its not discrimination to not allow bikers. The restaurant can refuse service to anyone except a protected class. For instance, they can't refuse to serve someone because they are black, but they can refuse to serve someone because they are ugly. Ugly isn't a protected class.

Maybe the government needs to get involved and keep bikers out of restaraunts like they do smokers. Then maybe the cowboys...and the farmers...and anyone that shops Walmart...
