"During last Sunday’s “Sixty Minutes” joint interview with President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Obama boasted that “You know, when it comes to Egypt, I think, had it not been for the leadership we showed, you might have seen a different outcome there.”

It’s hard to disagree with the president. His administration contributed to the turmoil now gripping Egypt and leading to what some observers on the ground there have characterized as “a complete state of collapse,” to quote Al Jazeera.

Under Obama’s self-described “leadership,” his administration promulgated the false image of the Muslim Brotherhood as “moderate Islamists”(an oxymoron if there ever was one). Just last September, for example, an administration official, defending the White House’s plan to forgive $1 billion in Egyptian debt, said of the Muslim Brotherhood’s supposed commitment to economic reform:“They sound like Republicans half the time.” And let’s not forget Director of National Intelligence James Clapper’s memorable description of the Muslim Brotherhood in February 2011 as “largely secular.”

As a consequence of his delusions about the good intentions of the Muslim Brotherhood, Obama tilted U.S. policy in their favor to lead the post-Mubarak regime at the expense of the more pro-democracy secularists who sparked the revolution in Tahrir Square in the first place two years ago."

Thank you for correcting my terrible spelling. In the future I will try and do better.
So now I am not only The Real FTW, but Jerry too, maybe next week I can be someone else. When I tell my wife she will be so excited, kind of like having a secret lover.
Ya know Roo if you put as much effort in your business as you do putting people down you would probaly be rich and famous instead of the pain in the ass you are. I feel sorry for you.

Please proofread for me! I didn't use spellcheck.

Actually, that's a colloquialism, but it is not unusual a person of your limited intelligence would mistake it for a misspelling.

It is a variation on the word "ignorant" often used in po'bucker and African American informal register (A Chris Rock routine includes an imitatuion of his father commenting on saggers, "Them boyz iz ignant!")

In other words Ebonics! Don't you think thats racist? But because of your obvious superior intelligence you have been made an honorary black and can say what you want without any retribution. As you are already an expert on Hispanic culture it wouldn't suprise me if you were an expert on Asian culture as well.
We are sooo lucky to have such a genius that will take the time to enlighten us less fortunate. Every day I can't wait to get home from work so I glean any info you choose to share while I was gone.

Thanks Roo!

Here you go again on a typical Jerry maneuver: jumping to conclusions; atrributing to another something he did not say; emotional reasoning; and unserious sht-disturbing.

The use of the term "ignant" is not race specific. One of our kids had a redneck boyfriend who described her somewhat ditsy friend this way: "That gurl iz ignant."

No, I'm no expert on Asian culture, although in Cali I had three Korean pastors and once rode to Hollywood with the last one and I'm sure his Honda still has the grip marks on the passenger side arm rest from it. His wife made the best baked salmon ever but her yaki man du was only passable. Oh, and my first real date was with the second oldest of five half-Japanese sisters. And I was friends with a son of a Chinese-American anesthesiologist in high school; we watched a CBS news special about anti-Asian racism that aired just prior to Nixon going to China that said the Chinese were stereotyped as "leering in the dark". I told him, "But you do leer in the dark". His mother kept pushing Asian girls at him but he preferred Mexican girls with more bounce to the ounce. Once we went to Anaheim for a Bill Gaither concert and were looking for a Denny's or something afterward but all we could find open was a Japanese Steakhouse that was like a singles bar for young Asian adults. And we used to eat at all the Pho places in Midtown Houston and my wife used to get her nails done by miniskirted Vietnamese girls. And my father went to Laos as part of an Air Force mission in the 1960s. One of my grad school professors was Taiwanese and another was an Untouchable from Madras. So I guess I'm as much an expert on Asian culture as Sarer Paylin is on Roosia since she can see it from her house.

"NAACP calls foul on Facebook post about new Emporia mayor"

EMPORIA, Va.(WTVR)—Is expressing political opinions on Facebook freedom of speech, an online rant or racism?

"That’s what many are talking about in the Emporia after a private Facebook post was sent to the NAACP.

Kim Thrower, the woman who made the post, was upset her candidate lost the mayoral race, so she took to Facebook. In a short paragraph she expressed her concerns about the newly elected mayor and those who voted for her, calling them ignorant."

"After the post appeared on her private account, the NAACP received a copy and immediately said the post was about race.

Thrower says that couldn’t be further from the truth.“I don’t believe me saying ignorant was a racial slur and if people want to make that a racial slur, I believe they have issue within themselves,” she said.

Thrower has made her Facebook account inactive since she believes it was one of her Facebook friends who scanned her page and made it public.

The NAACP local chapter President Debra Brown says she read the post and believes it is racial. Brown said that Thrower should apologize and went on to say that,“not only her but her husband as well should apologize for his wife’s behavior.”

“My words are mine,” said Thrower.“They are nobody else’s but mine and for this to be made a racial issue, I think that in itself is ignorance.”

Mary Person, who had served on Emporia City Council in the past, ran for Mayor and beat current city councilman Jim Saunders. The vote was close, with the final tally at 1401 to 1238, for Saunders.

Person becomes the first woman and first African-American to be voted in as Mayor."

So it all depends on the color of the skin of the person or persons you are calling "ignant" or "ignorant".

If that person is caucasian...no problem.

But if that person is "other than"...the NAACP will have an issue.

(Really, you just can't make this shit up.)

I assume from the above the woman is a gray and da Mayor is "of the negro persuasion," as Frank Zappa phrased it. In that context, it certainly is reasonable to say it is likely racist although it may not be in another context.

So telling a white person they are ignorant isn't racist, but telling a black person they are ignorant is racist?

Roo, you are ignorant. Not in a racist way, just in an intellectual way.
