The Cracker Barrel has lost the best server they had or will have. Her name is Catherine. We were her regular customer and only asked to be seated in her section. The service was over the top. Her friendly smile and upbeat attitude really made you as a customer want to return. We loved the Cracker Barrel however we won't return.

What are the circumstances surrounding her departure?

Myself and wife have been there many of times. I love thier food and my wife loves to talk to Paula, who works at the retail side. We never leave without spending a few dollars at the store. I'll you you something Paula can sell and she does it with a smile. At the present time she is doing the job of a Manager. My wife asked her why she didn't apply for the position and Paula said she did not qualified. What qualifications you need. Paula has been there since the store opened in 1998 and can do a better job than a new Manager.

They fired her. It seems there is a lot of jealousy among the servers. She had a lot of customers. I think she made more than most of the others as well which didn't help. But, you are tipped by the service you receive as well as the attitude.

Wouldn't make much since for them to fire their top server over jealousy. Now whats the real reason....did she get caught pocking to many of those little bottles of syrup or is she your sister.....lololololol

Altho I had great service and fairly decent food while there I found they have almost taken over the firewood supply in the area. This winter I was suprised to find very few firewood suppliers in the area selling to any one else than CB.. Ambiance over necessity? Some people depend on the fuel of firewood as a necessity, not as some sort of decor...

i soooo have to agree! i went there 3 times over the last year or more and it always sucked! food was always cold and slow service. The only thing i can say good about is the company makes a good pumkin butter, but that is it.

Paula rocks! I'm lucky enough to call her mom! She should be the manager. She's a hard working, friendly and wonderful person. I'm glad to see someone else sees the fabulousness she brings.:-) Thank you so much!

You may want to keep in mind, there are always two sides to every story. Basing your alligations on what one person has told you, is simply ignorant. If indeed you have only experienced Catherine's service, you have NO right to judge the service of other servers. Like Catherine, we ALL have our regulars and people who request us. Cracker Barrel is a GREAT company to work for! We have GREAT management at the Junction City store, and have made GREAT improvements over the last year. To those of you whom have had poor experiences in the past, we encourage you to give us another chance.

I do not believe that Cracker Barrel has lost their best server because personnally we think that Tara is the best server. Catherine was if you want ur straw opened by her and not yourself, to be yelled at, not asked if you want more or how you want things, just done her way no matter what the customer wants. She was horrible and seemed to be very rude or disrespectful if you told her you wanted things a different way than what she wanted to do! If you've never been out of Junction City, KS then I guess you could say her service was great but if you have then her service was terrible.

Um one store cannot use up the supply of fire wood for a whole area. Maybe you need to talk to more than one supplier bc that's all we have is one supplier
