Hey, why doesn't the Tea Party add plagiarism to the list of charges against Obama. After all, his health care plan wasn't his idea. Richard Nixon proposed an almost identical national health insurance plan in 1974. The Democrats never called Nixon's plan "too conservative" and never voted on it.
These days a pragmatic centrist like President Nixon could not get the Republican nomination for dogcatcher in Orange County

Don't call these Tea Party lunatics "Republicans". Abraham Lincoln was a Republican. Theodore Roosevelt was a Republican. Dwight D. Eisenhower was a Republican. Ronald Reagan was a Republican. The Tea Party are a bunch of libertarian lunatics who have hijacked the Republican Party. And it looks like a suicide hijacking.
None of the aforementioned Presidents would have a snowball`s chance in hell if they were members of the Kansas Legislature right now. The antics of Ted , Mitch , Rand , Jan , et al pale in comparison to what`s going on in the Brownback/Kobach regime here in Kansas.

Same here. There's actually a serious movement afoot here in Kentucky to unseat Mitch McConnell in the next Republican primary because he is "not a real conservative." He is being challenged by some shady con man type businessman named Matt Bevin. There is even some talk in Tea Party circles that Rand Paul is not "conservative" enough. I don't think some of these people would think Murray Rothbard or Ayn Rand was "conservative" enough.

At the same time, I don't think most of the Tea Party rank and file have any real idea what the "free market" and "minimal government" world that they want would really be like. For example, they want to cut education drastically, but when you try to get them to think about what the cuts would do to the local school system, you either get a blank look or they give you tell you about some kind of imagined, idealized "Little House on the Prairie" one room schoolhouse.

Where climate change and evolution are dismissed as junk science , creationism is taught , non-Christian religions aren`t tolerated , prayer is mandated , and the $20,000 per year teacher is armed to the teeth.

Pretty much. But you may have the teacher's salary too high.

Maybe because your head is up your A$$? I'll bet it tastes and smells pretty bad... all that junk food and fast food... especially your three meals a day at McDonald's.
Do you want to come and kiss it? The way you kiss Obama's ass

I guess they don't teach proof reading to K State Grads at K State. That's a K State education for you.

That's kind of obvious when the teabaggers carry signs that say "keep the government's hands off my Medicare!"

For all the disgruntled Tea Party members, a novel idea : they can all relocate to Cuba , North Korea , or Siberia. We`ll exchange them one-for-one with people who actually do have it bad and would welcome the chance to come here , be productive citizens , appreciate their new homes and become part of this country`s solution , instead of its problem. We lose a mostly aging , cranky , contrary , hateful group and replace it with vibrant , younger , enthusiastic people happy to contribute to the greater good.
