Don't know about that. I warmed a pew with them for a year or so and nobody ate my arm or leg off.

I attended FTN when I was young and tried a couple of times when I got older and still found it for lack of a better word like a cult. The services I went to were very strange and I never felt more uncomfortable in my life seeing that people got up in the middle of the sermon and ran around the big room freaked me out completely and it was a long time before I tried to go to any other church again in or out of JC....I wont knock everybody who goes to the church but I dont like the over persistent or those who judge you solely on the fact that I dont attend their church. Any body who hasn't ran across these people, trust me in a matter of time you will; if they dont show up to your door just go to Dillons at 11 at night and you will see a whole bunch of the families shopping together...now tell me that aint a cult?

Like I said there are a few that I like and i can comfortably say the rest I hate; never before have i met people who were so hypocritical, unloving, hurtful, and often mean! Lets just say dont underestimate stupid people in large numbers....enough said!

After that ordeal, I wouldn`t be surprised if you were sexually liberated to the point that you have dabbled in the adult entertainment industry. Many women in the industry have experienced your disillusions with Puritanism and have adjusted accordingly. And that`s not a bad thing.

As a half-assed afficianado of strip clubs through the years, I have met and dated my share of exotic dancers. One of them taught Sunday Scholl in Manhattan in the late 90`s, after a Saturday shift on stage in JC, Topeka, or Wichita. I don`t pass judgment, but found it rather peculiar. She was baffled that she was dismissed from her duties at the church, after it was discovered by church elders about her "other life". She was also a Ist ID Gulf War vet and magna cum laud grad of Kansas State and a member of their debate team. You can`t judge a book by it`s cover.

Christ is love and forgiveness. If you can't do either, don't preach. This church needs to read the whole new testament and not just take scripture out of context. Educating themselves is what they need. I do not recommend this church to anyone.

Ive known several ppl that have went to that church, that grew up there and loved the church but once the were old enough to make their own decisions about their sexuality or friends they wanted the were kicked out into the streets by the family and church. I even worked for a man who is now a preacher of some sort @ Faith Tab, and he lied to ppl just to get there money and was later shut down down by the state for running a scheme. Ive been to a service there and I will agree it is cult like...creepy if you ask me!

I do not know bro. Young personally, but I visited his church once and he has preached at our church as well. The church is not a cult. I go freely and enjoy my salvation. Before I found the truth I was a very unhappy person seeking happiness in all the wrong places. Oneness is the only way like it or not read the Bible and you will see it. As for previous comments about how this man spends his money, I have been to his house. He then drove a two seater pickup and his wife drove a Taurus. And as for hom giving himself a raise, the man of God live by tithe so if he got a raise that means the people of the the church got a raise as well. Tithe is 10% of your income and the only way it increases is if your income increases. You really should learn what your talking about before you comment.

They don't drive small vehicles anymore. And 10% is the tithe to support the ministry, but members are expected to give a percentage (I was told 10% more--and all this before taxes) to support the church and pay the bills. And people are asked to give to other things on top of these required tithes and offerings. The pastor threatens to read lists of names occasionally of those who haven't given what he thinks they should have. And how does he know who is and isn't giving 10% and offerings unless he's seen their paystubs?

They do shun those who leave. They have labeled people as "bad" in various ways from the pulpit and through rumors, which run rampant there. People lie on each other, defraud each other, and "report" each other to the pastor in order to stay on the pastor's good side, rather than being honest and truly repenting (changing, not bawling and then getting up to do more of the same wrongs). I've even seen a few fight over visitors-debating who should get to say they brought them. All of that is far from biblical, but they've twisted scripture so much they don't see it. And those who do see how unbiblical it is either don't care what the real truth is or are so afraid that they close their eyes to it.

It's sad that there are places like this and people like this.

If the Shepherd of the flock leads wrong God and only God can deal with that the salvation of the Church lays on the Pastor. So if you know something doesn't line up with God's Word you pray and He is always faithful to show up but you cannot say wrong or hurtful things about who He has called to preach His Word just pray for him.

As long as there are weak-willed, gullible people, there will always be sly tricksters who use fear and cunning to swindle them out of their hard-earned cash.
