You're thinking of the wrong place. Pastor Riggen would never let a man not filled with the Holy Ghost play Christian rock music from his platform!

There's no place in a real Church for rock music, whether you call it 'Christian' or not, because rock is not Christian.

You're exactly right, I hate it when these churches are "pentecostal" but when you show up to their meetings they're playing songs like "Who Am I" and "Its OK". Pastor Riggen has disfellowshipped several pastors in the KC area due to this type of charismatic worship.

Psalm 150:1-6

King James Version (KJV)

Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.

Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.

Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.

Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.

Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.

Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.

None of your scripture advocates rebelious rock and roll music. I'm all for the old paths but this new modern music creeping into Apostolic churches is going to send a lot of churches to hell! Just because one man, the pastor, told his bald drummer to stick out his tongue and "rock out" while his brother sings "Who Am I" and "It's Ok". It's not Ok to advocate this type of mockery!

So in YOUR mind it is better to exclude young people from the positive teachings of the gospels, just because they listen to positive message music with a popular beat?

Matthew 19:14 "But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven."

In my opinion - Getting them into the pews with popular rythm is better than leaving them in the streets.

But you do what you feel is best.

"I believe with all my heart that it's a contributing factor to the juvenile delinquincy of today. I a hundred percent believe it. Why I believe that is because I know how it feels when you sing it.

I know what it does to ya. And I know of the evil feeling you feel when you sing it.
I know of the lost position you get into and the beat.

Well, uh, you talk to the average teenager of today and you ask them what it is about rock and roll music that they like and the first thing they'll say to you is, "The beat. The beat. The beat."

You spelling is better when you cut and paste, Rastous.

It's safer of course, but demonstrates your inability to produce original thought.
