So what is the point of these signs? I Just don't get it. What does one hope to accomplish by putting up signs like this? Has it even accomplished anything other than ruffling feathers?

They appear to be one citizens very public response to the rhetoric that brought an untried junior senator into the White House.

The "hope" dwindled.
The "change" was not for the better.
The "transparency" didn't appear.
The "bi-partisanship" was never approached.

Just more of the same old thing.

What has it accomplished? It let Ms. Barnhardt air her opinion legally, as she wished to do, on private property with her own money.

You have the exact same options.

I wonder how many children's mouths could be fed with the money thrown away on childish name calling. It's nice to live in a country where we are free to do the most stupid and wasteful things that strike our fancy, isn't it?
I'll do mine here for free. Ms. Barnhardt, you are a blithering idiot without the brains God gave geese. You are the proverbial fool with her money soon parted.
I have nothing to say about your opinion of Obama, or Bush or whoever, but I think it's a shame you choose to do something like this rather than try to make the world, or at least your little slice of it, a better place.
My opinion? You are a stupid, wasteful, bitter clam brain who is no different than the Fred Phelps' of this world. Thankfully, people like you are soon tired of and forgotten.

How did your rant make your little slice of the world a better place?

What another individual does with their money is nonya!

If our for change and everything better President had created jobs instead of losing them, there would be less hungry mouth to feed.

If someone wants to bring to voters attention what is going on in this country, more power to them. Maybe next time voters will be smarter.

One comment was too unintelligible to bother with. And to the one wondering how my rant made the world better? I didn't pay a penny to do it. So I guess that makes my commentary about hers 1. Not hypocritical at all and 2. Green
As stated before, my comment has nothing to do with politics. I was just as pissed off when the Dems ran their mouths at every opportunity about Bush.
Two wrongs don't make a right, as my pithy, poignant little post earlier has borne out.
I really have to confess that JC Topix is my guilty pleasure. There are some on here that really try, and then there are many who just will never get it.

...and that's where you put your foot into your own mouth. I'm a registered Republican. My first vote was for Ronald Reagan, next was George H.W. Bush Sr., next was Ross Perot, then was Bob Dole, then G.W. Bush twice, then McCain. The idea that a Republican having an independent not lock stepped Republican never crossed your mind? You sir, or madam, are an ass and everything that has gone wrong with the Grand Old Party. I hope you go to the Teabaggers because we sure don't need your kind in our party. In the old days, men like Bob Dole worked together with the other party. It seems like the idiots are running both now with the Teaparty bringing up the rear.
I'm a life member of the VFW, annual member of the American Legion, own numerous weapons and steadfastly defend my right to own and carry them. The fact that I'm not an uneducated redneck talking from a list of talking points put out by Limbaugh doesn't make me a "dumbocrat", it makes me a smart voter who cares more about fixing what's wrong than talking crap and and inciting the people too lazy to do their homework on real issues.
I really have nothing else to say on this subject becuase you clearly don't have the mental faculties to carry on a discussion without using either someone elses words, ideas or resorting to sniping at unknown targets.
I feel bad for our children that have such poor examples to learn from. What will the future of this country look like with the morons from the left and rightdoing such a bangup job of blaming each other and trying their damnest to divert all attention from the real issues.

In answer to your questions, I put these billboards up in JC because of the proximity to Ft. Riley. Obama has our Constitutional Republic hanging by a thread, and that thread may well prove to be our enlisted men and women. I wanted to spur them to think, especially if Obama starts issuing illegal orders, namely to suppress our Constitution in any way.

In terms of the charity argument made above, it is a matter of return on investment. The billboards have cost me just over $10,000. Yes, that money could have fed some hungry kids. I concede the point. But, if we are able to derail the Obama regime's plan to collapse our economy and turn the United States into a third-world Marxist hellhole, so much more suffering will be prevented than what $10,000 worth of food could accomplish. Guys, Marxists do only one thing well, and that is kill people. The 20th century saw Marxism murder over 250 million people, if you don't count the aborted babies. And for those who survived, the suffering was unspeakable. That is where this country is heading. That is where the Marxist Obama regime is taking us. You have no idea how bad things could get if our economy and the US Dollar collapses. I don't want my fellow Americans to suffer, because I love them. Including the people who call me "crazy" and "stupid". I live in terror of the day when things are so bad that "Sick of Wunder" says, "Ann Barnhardt was right". I PRAY that day never comes, and Mr. Sick of Wunder is able to go right on thinking that I'm nuts and dumb. That would be the absolute best-case scenario.

Well, if this is the real Ann Barnhardt, I have to think your middle name is chicken little. Do you even stop to read what you have written down before you hit the "Post" button?
Your level of paranoia is off the charts. You need to tell the voices in your head that you're taking meds now and they can go away.
Marxist? Dictator? Do you have even a clue of what those things are? I was around during WW2 and seen it first hand and what happened right before that and you don't know what your talking about. You just blew $10000 on these boards? Nobody here in the Army wants to hear your stuff lady. Take it back to whatever Klan hideout you came from. And yes, to the earlier person I am a dummycrat, but that makes me a lot better than Ann.

Isn't there a military base in colorado where you live? Did you put these signs there? How about at other bases around the country? Or just at a select few? Or just Ft Riley? If only Ft Riley, why?

You mention the "plan to collapse our economy and turn the United States into a third-world Marxist hellhole". I haven't seen this plan or even heard about it until now. Have you personally seen this document? Is it documented? If not, where are you getting your information that leads you to believe there is this "plan"?

You say,"Guys, Marxists do only one thing well, and that is kill people. The 20th century saw Marxism murder over 250 million people". At the risk of sounding like I'm making light of that statement, which I am not, do you really think the president and/or our government wants to kill us?

You say,"I live in terror of the day when things are so bad...". Do you really have such little faith in in our democratic system that you live in "terror"?

During the great depression, people were so terrified that they and our country would never recover that many opted for suicide. Yet the country recovered and has recovered from many moments of adversity since. Do you have no faith that our country won't recover from this?

I think I would have spent my money elsewhere or at least put up more intelligent messages. I don't think I'm in your target audience. I consider myself smarter than that.

No, not the First Lady. Michelle Malkin, conservative columnist and internment camp defender. A physically beautiful Filina daughter of legal immigrants so abrasively conservative that even Bill O`Reily had to fire her from his show on Fox News. This women breathes hatred and vitriol like we do oxygen. Read her blog, column, or books and she makes the John Birch Society look like a bunch of bleeding heart liberals. She`ll live to see 70 more birthdays fueled on hatred alone.
