So I asked my husband to take my car to get an oil change while I was at work this past saturday. He took it in paid and came home, only to come out about an hour later and realize my tire was flat. Upon inspection of the tire he noticed the tire stem had been pulled out and broken, from when the staff did a tire pressure check. It is part of the package deal I got. Well after we noticed it was too late to take it back in and they are closed on Sundays, so we waited until today to take it to them. My husband called the manager Donnie, because at the bottom of their reciept it states if there is any damage to your vehicle please contact managment so they can handle it. So my husband calls and he explained what happened, and without even looking at the tire he was told that they will not fix it. My husband said well I will be up there at lunch so you can see the tire. Its obvious how the tire stem was broken! So my husband, myself, and my 4 year old daughter go up there in hopes he will at least look at the tire. As soon as we stepped in the door, we were told by Donnie the manager that he is not going to look at the tire, and that we needed to leave. At this point my blood is boiling because I have aftermarket tires and rims on my car that I am now going to have to come out of pocket to fix, and you are telling me you wont even look at the tire, you wont even help your customers who have been loyal to this company for over 2 1/2 years...wow. I said no I am not leaving until I talk to your boss, he said fine I am calling the cops. I said fine I will just file a damage report. Needless to say because my tire wasn't damaged as a crime I couldn't file a report, we had to be escorted off the propery by the cops( who were really nice and they were being helpful) and I had to pay to get my tire fixed!

I would deffinatley NEVER reccomend them to get yout oil changes or any other service for that matter. I was shocked because when I called the owner (the PD got the number for me because the manager refused to give me the number) he told me he was standing behind his manager, basically said screw the customer. WOW is all I have to say. I will be contacting the BBB and I already wrote a review under yahoo. Which I wish I would have read the reviews on yahoo, there are only 4 and they are ALL bad.

I am upset but I do realize mistakes happen and I wasn't upset I just wanted them to fix what they broke, but they weren't trying to hear it....so much for customer service!

Need to go to Peerless (think it is now called Tires for Less)...across the street from dillons. Carl, the manager is FANTASTIC. He goes out of his way to help his customers. FABULOUS place, I would go nowhere else in JC.

About 6 months ago, I witnessed a lady at this same establishment go through a similar situation. Cops were called, she was very insistent that her vehicle was damaged while being worked on...I won't be taking my vehicle back there.

This story sounds fishy. You get the oil changed saturday and don't return until thursday to complain about damage you say they did to your tire?

Kansas Quick Lube is a joke in this town. They only get business from the military and the clueless. Their prices are higher than everywhere else and their service is terrible. They do have a nice little coffee cafe' out front though.

Sorry I copied and pasted this a few days after I had posted it under the Ft. Riley forums. I actually posted this Monday as it was the day I took it in, because they were closed on Sunday. My mistake and apology for any confusion.

I wasn't "messing" with anyone, simply trying to have him fix what he broke. Especially after paying him $53 to do so!

You are nothing but a busybody. A spoiled-rotten, unemployed "Army Wife" who doesn't have a thing to do after dropping the kids off at school besides screw around on her deployed husband and play the victim online.

Get a job and a VD test.

Wow, ok im glad you think you know me so well. First off did you even read the thread? If you did you would quickly understand with in the first few sentences it says my husband is home (not deployed) and I was at work. Clearly you come online just to try and stir people up. I don't care what you think of me, I came online to warn others what horrible customer service Kansas Quick Lube provides. Your snide comments shows your maturity.

Little Donnie Do-Dad has been a boil on the butt of this town for a long time. He lost Reich's Import Car Repair because of his behavior. He got turned in for starving horses boarded at his home. He is a mean person when cornered in the wrong. You would think he would be more like his mother... County Commissioner Florence Whitebread. Maybe a call to her would help. Guys like this need to be workers and not managers.

yes this place is a joke. i had my truck's oil changed quite a few times here. the attitudes where very poor, but only having one vehicle dont have time to drop it off somewhere for the day or half a day. i was in VA and needed a oil change so i took it to a jiffy lube, where it was noticed that the drain plug would turn left or right but could not get it out. so i took it to a dealer and had it pulled out. come to find out the plug was stripped. kansas quick lube should have noticed this and informed me so a new one could have been installed, instead they put the stripped plug in and sealed the outside with some silicone seal. what a horrible place of business, have not and will not go there again, would rather run my engine out of oil and buy a new engine than return to this store.

not to sound like I'm taking sides but, does anyone else really understand what is being said...how do you ruin a tire stem from checking the air pressure. I have never heard of this ever happening...I mean seriously how do you break a stem with a tire pressure gauge...thats a new one to me

If you pull the stem out too far it will either come all the way out or crack. Ours was broke in the back of them so it wasn't pulled all the way out but was cracked and leaking air. It happens pretty offten. I have a friend that works at the wal-mart service place and he says it happens more often then you would think.

Joe when I came on here all I did was inform the public of what happened to me as a customer. I haven't made any snide comments or have resorted to name calling unlike you have been doing. You can call me every name in the book but I stand by what I said. I have not been ugly to you so I can only assume that A) your an employee or Donnie himself or B) you have been done wrong by a military wife. Either way its not my problem so I would appreciate it if you would show some respect and maturity and put some actual useful information on here.

He is an imposing, well-sculpted dude. Any bully`s nightmare. Wouldn`t want to get on his bad side. No wonder 3 JCPD units had to resond.
