Roy Moore paid for the monument itself and placed it surretepiously in the Supreme Court building over a weekend. The entire purpose of the act was to grift some rubes by provoking a lawsuit. Sure enough, a lawsuit did come about which resulted as anyone with a GED could have predicted with a loss for Moore and the right-wing legal foundations which furnished his legal defense.

James Dobson, writing in Focus on the Family News gleefully predicted this would result in armed rebellion in the land. There was a nonviolent protest at the removal of the monstrosity, attended by Dobson and various other right-wing Grade F semi-celebrities including the disabled Marine Cleve Something or Other who shows up in his Marine dress uniform thereby disgracing it and himself, eye patch and missing limb. naturally, that was the end of it. Moore lost his judgeship over the incident, and quite rightfully so, as it revealed what a sleazy, despicable character he is. He ran for Governor a couple of times and lost badly, but just got back his Supreme Court seat. His fifteen minutes are long since over.

Kangaroo is all over that Ft Scott Topix site too.

The bottom line: Moore is more of a Christianist, rather than a true Christian.
So are all other religious reich figures.
After all, is that really what Jesus intended in the Bible? Did he really instruct his followers to use his words, the "word of God" like a blunt instrument, a weapon? Why sneak something like that into the building?
Good luck getting cogent answers to them.
Militant Christianism and Christianists must be fought with the same resolve as militant Islamism and Islamists. Both are cut from the same cloth.
Exactimundo. I observed this first hand when I walked around downtown Charlotte during the Democratic National Convention and observed the crazies who came there to protest. I told this to a Guy Penrod-lookalike street preacher and he seemed actually shocked.

Occasionally one will hear from right-wing Christianists some variation thereof of "you must accept rule by us, or else you will be ruled by the Taliban and such," as if that's supposed to be convincing. I tell them, "Then if that's the alternative to rule by scumbags like you I would joyfully accept it because seeing scum like you defeated so that you can no longer exploit Christ for your own gain would be well worth it."

So, is that Korean Kim or some clueless housewife married to a man with a roving eye and a beergut? I imagine the latter, because Koreans are not stupid enough to lie as you have there and expect people will believe it.

As for the Fort Scott Topix site, I never go there; it appears the beings who run this site import posts willy-nilly to drum up controversy, which increases participation, which increases their bottom line.

Dumbass, it's not much of an addiction when i spend less than 15 minutes on Topix each day. Buy a clue.

It`s all dark on the other side , just like it was before you were born. Is that really such a bad thing ?

Nope. That is what Mark Twain said.

“I do not fear death. I had been dead for billions and billions of years before I was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it.”

I was thinking of Twain when I wrote that post. Leave it to an old Mississippi River dog to pick right up on it !

I prefer 'Rat' over dog.
Have a nice day.

"The face of the water, in time, became a wonderful book--a book that was a dead language to the uneducated passenger, but which told its mind to me without reserve, delivering its most cherished secrets as clearly as if it uttered them with a voice. And it was not a book to be read once and thrown aside, for it had a new story to tell every day.
