I'll blame the republicans.

They had eight years to fix these problems but chose to start an obscenely expensive war instead.

They point the finger at anyone but themselves.

They're consistently and constantly negative.

They signed a stupid pledge that essentially tied their hands and will make them put the country and everyone that lives here second to their stupid pledge.

They are only protecting the wealthy at the expense of the middle class and the poor.

They had no proven plan yet wanted the country to vote for it and their out of touch candidate.

I could keep going but I won't. By the way, I am a registered republican but considering changing parties. It seems like the republicans are depending on the blind faith of a large and stupid population. Pathetic. Disgusting. They make me want to puke.

It is the job of the POTUS to bring the parties together. His continued seperationist mentality has driven the wedge of non-cooperation and divisiveness as no other president before him.
Hope for Jerry Bob

Well said, Jerry Bob. Maybe there IS hope for you after all. Glad you`ve finally seen the light. Seeing the error of your ways is the first step to making positive changes in your life. I applaud you for that !

If you work at it, you could probably blame him for the weeds in your yard too, right? Isn't it the POTUS job to ensure everybody has a weed free yard? Unfortunately, since his election, his seperationist mentality has driven a wedge of non-cooperation and divisiveness into lawn care as no other president before him. In fact, the number of weedie yards has risen into the trillions since 2008. Therefore, it is entirely his fault. Entirely.

From day one the Republicans made it clear their intent was to make sure he was a one-term president, so much so they even voted against things that they themselves had pursued. They refused to acknowledge the mistakes of the previous adminisrtation that led to the current situation. Without acknowledging the mistakes of the past, they cannot fix or prevent them.
No leader can succeed if the new "employees" come in as a gang whose intent is to destroy the leadership. If it was one or two Republicans who wanted to buck the system fine, it's good to have a few people who will keep the pot stirred, but we ended up with too many tea party republicans who do not look at the situation with maturity, responsibility and with the good of the country in mind.
So I,(who am also a registered Republican) do not blame Obama. This mess is squarely on the Republicans shoulders.
The Republicans are so much on this kick about not raising taxes, yet they are willing to let taxes automatically be raised on everyone. How much more hypocritical can they get. Boehner's plan B wasn't perfect, but it had compromise and would have put the ball in the Dem's court to accept or reject it.

They are willing to let the country fall back into a recession, this time Obama may not be able to prevent it from going into a depression as he did before. They will not accept compromise they proved that this week.
Both sides have positive and negative points they are making, but this smaller government, no tax fantasy is going to destroy this country.

Pragmatic Republican lawmakers in Kansas, moderate and willing to compromise, have essentially been purged from the Legislature. Kansas is flirting with disaster thanks to Brownback`s dangerous agenda, the seeds of which were planted during no less than 17 exclusive dinners at the Governor`s Mansion in a single month. How that isn`t a gross violation of the Open Meetings Act is hard to fathom.

It is time for the president of our fine country to lead. No budget since Obama took office is a disgrace. Record setting spending levels and the desire to continue. Absolutely NO LEADERSHIP. All the man can do is TALK. He does that well. Time for ACTION. OBAMA - Quit campaining and vacationing on DO YOUR JOB!!

Our country and it's citizens need and deserve your full attention and efforts.

Again we blame one person for the actions of hundreds. Gas prices are down. How come people are not flooding the blogs with the fact the president alone lowered gas prices?

They have no problem working out a deal with lightning speed on their own pay raises. But ask them to help a few hundred million middle class Joe's and they become a bunch of kindergarden diaper boys that have to have things their way. It's really disgusts me.

Bottom line. The average American doesn't have a clue what any of this means because their lives will change very little.

Why can't our elected officials deal with issues in a manner that benefits the people. They seem to make everything political. The Dems want this. The Reps want that. Where is the middle ground that is best for our country as a whole. Raising taxes is very little help and it will ultimately effect all of us. Cutting expenses is the only and best solution. We can not continue to live beyond our means. We don't or can't do it is our personal lives. It should not be an option for the politicians. Get a balanced budget and stick with it for a couple years. It is not an option.

That aint gonna happen! Because I think the political process has been hijacked by the politicians that are using taxpayers money to buy votes.

He doesn't control gas prices. He is a loser, but probably less of a loser than anyone else that ran. He was elected twice because he is black. The first time because he was the first black pres, the second because we feel bad for hating an ineffective pres because he is black. Face it. He is ineffective as a leader. He could not lead a pack of cub scouts out of a wet paper bag. Repubs are also at fault. Both parties are sticking to their extreme sides, therefore both are to blame. They all need to be fired, but we will continue to vote based on emotion instead of fact, and politicians will continue to protect themselves from feeling the financial effects us commoners feel.

That has to be the most retarded, racist bullsh*t I have ever heard. It's pretty easy to tell it comes from some chronically uninformed reclusive redneck.

It`s divided alright. The older, whiter half and the younger ,browner half. The scales are tipping the other way after after 237 years and there`s not a damned thing anybody can do about it. Time to stop the hand-wringing and floor pacing and accept this inconvenient truth.
