They better hope those people leave all that junk parked out front so it will block the view of the run down houses and trashy yards.

With the exception of one, or possibly two members, the biggest joke in the Sate of Arkansas. Voters you get what you paid for or rather elected.

Being a Shriner I personally thank you for supporting the Shrine and your local Shrine chapter. Pls remember that the Shriners Hospitals for Children will always be there, free of charge, for any child from birth till age 18. Of my Shrine career the best time that I ever spent was on the Board of Directors for the Shriners Hospital, St. Louis Unit. And yes, just as our hospitals are free, so is the entertainment that the clowns on the city council provide (in my opinion). The old saying of Throw the Bums Out needs to be employed at the next election and bring in some new blood...starting from the city attorney, the mayor, etc., once again, in my opinion. Unless and until the citizens of El Dorado wake up the local govt. will never change.

I appreciate your comment however I have no intention of moving within the city limits although the thought did occur to me prior to the last election. El Dorado, or rather the powers to be, are not ready for truth in government and full disclosure for thier actions. I have previously stated that I do know a retired school superintendent and school principal who would make a very good county judge and his past is totally beyond reproach. Having said that it would take more than just one person to turn things around. I have always wondered why the current county judge along with Mr. Reynolds always make the decisions while the rest of the elected members just act like sheep and play follow the leader. The term throw the bums out also entails the county court along with the city council. If you live in either the city or the county why not ask for the disposition of funds received from the wildlife refuge which are specfilcally earmarked for education? Where do the funds go from the Corps of Engineers ref. to the RV park? Why was raw sewage allowed to exit the restrooms into the parking lot and thus into the Ouachita River? This happened at least twice last year. This last statement was, I believe, with the full knowledge of Charles who works for the county judge and has responsibility for for said park. While on this same subject I believe that the county truck he is assigned is driven out of state on a daily basis to his currenet residence...so I have been told. Yes, on second thought I may just move just inside of the city limits to meet residency requirements but only if enough city residents come forth to oust the current members of the sitting council at the next election. I did however tell the retired principal that I would volunteer to help, sans salary, to ascertain the prior expenditures of county funds. Please take into consideration that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is empowered and does investigate corrupt public officials..Carl

Carl H that is even better, since even though I work in the City of El Dorado, I'm a Union County resident. I am sick of the current regime and their shenanigans.

Carl H for COUNTY JUDGE in 2010
