S.C. man caught with handgun in car

A South Carolina man was arrested Sunday night in Uniondale after plainclothes police officers saw him take a handgun from his waistband and hide it under the seat of a parked car, police said.

Unless there was another crime involved in addition to gun possession, it's unlikely that anyone will serve 3 1/2 years just for gun possession, even in New York.

He's from South Carolina, but in Uniondale. I'll bet if you check his taxes it'll show he's employed here in NY, but registers his car at a relative (mother, grandmother, aunt) in S.C. to get around the cost of registration and insurance like many blacks do here on LI.
