While I think that as long as the hair is not distracting he should be able to have long hair, but the fact remains that its LIFE! There are alot of buisness' that would not hire someone with long hair over a clean cut short haired male! It just looks for professional. What "he plays soccer" has to do with it, idk. Who cares?! Not all soccer players have long hair. I beileve as parents you have to make a choice, hair or education?! While it may not be "fair", well lifes just not. Rules are made to be followed, you are teaching your child to question those rules. And no its NOT standing up for himself. Standing up for himself would be if they made the rule in spite of him, it was already in place, and they need to be followed!
right-on!!!!!! he's NO different than anyone else.

okay, i attend godley isd and although i believe that starting a dress code at an early age is good and even though i agree with ever rule and believe that is it totaly reasonalbe. i never thought anything of the rule that boys cant have their hair long until i heard about chris. ive never really cared about what people think about, when someone asked why i always anwser why not. So i say the same to this...Why not let a boy have long hair, all threw school the teachers have told us to be different, to not fit in with the crowd, yea am i the only one who remembers that!! I have not even ever met Chris but i have tons of respect for him and his whole family. If you tell a 12 year old boy that he cant be different you set his whole future and the future for America Imagine if you told some of our great leaders that they couldnt be different America is made of people who dared to be different and thats all i have to say on the matter its his life and he only lives it once let him be!!!!

I get where you all come from saying he should simply follow the rules, but at the same time what people don't realize is humans rebel to the rules they create. It happens, it's unavoidable. This being such a considerably sexist rule (saying only females are in right of certain lengthed hair) it's immoral. And let us not forget nor denie our independence. Why should it matter the length of his hair, or how he chooses to dress. They say appearence influences our attitude, but I have a new "style" litterally every day. You will never catch me looking pretty and girly two days in a row. I choose to do this because quite frankly I am not tied down to one sterotyped style. And is it not what on the inside that counts. My momma always told me that I shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, and I'm sure all of you have heard the same.
As for Dakota Duty, dude. Don't be such a douche okay. You live in a trailor, does that make YOU trailor trash. I'm a Texas HICK. Talkin' country. but that doesn't mean I'm trailor trash. WTF does it matter if his hair is long, that doesn't mean CRAP. You look and sound ignorant, and yeah. I know you. We go to the same school.
So if you look and sound ignorant, does that mean you are? So needless to say. Who are you to talk. being your "trailor trash, Godley IGNORANCE"

For a person(and I use that term lightly) that seem's to think they know it all, one would think someone that use's illegal drug's would simply keep their mouth SHUT, now would'nt you? HMMMMM, now that's a thought! To most people--- that would be POT(since you like this stuff so much)CALLING THE KETTLE BLACK. WOO-HOO!!!!!!!!!! Keep-um Coming!
A hypocrit is a person who promotes one thing and does the opposite. It can be with anything, for instence. My mother says don't judge a book by it's cover but she is very judgemental. and by the way, WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM?! You come on trying to sound so smart ... but let's attempt to think before we state, shall we?

SO YOU KNOW--- there are different way's a person can be a hypocrit ( as you call it). but before YOU go judging me, you better drag out ole' WEBSTER'S. And you ask what my problem is? NOT A CARE IN THE WORLD! Only fool's! Why is it that some people have to call other people DOUCHE'S? Now that is about as CRUDE and non-called-for AS ANYTHING i'VE ever SEEN. Not to mention CHILDISH! I GUESS WHEN YOU HAVE A SMALL MIND, YOU JUST SIMPLY DON'T KNOW ANY BETTER. So- with that being said, I'll try to not loose any sleep tonight because you've hurt my feeling's. How-Funny!!!!

My dear, obnoxious 'friends' of the internet. I'll allow you to know that I'm 14 so I'm about as grown up for the time being as I will ever be. As for the hypocrit cries of terror, a hypicrit is directed toward a lot of things not just specifically one involving drugs.
I call someone a douche because I feel it neccessary, weather it is or not my choice of words relies only to MY pickings. I would like you to know I do think before I state, and if you simply can't understand my words then I suppose you should ask someone who can comprehend a higher intuition than your own. You're simple mindedness is growing short on me. I haven't the time to deal with the likes of you two, although this is quite interesting and I never choose to back down. I am almost never the 'bigger person' in a situation which I see it a fine thing considering I am the smaller, and younger in the situation -quite litterally.
So I suppose I'll cope, and just make time for your infant minds.

You cant call her small minded when shes 14 and talking as if shes a grown adault!! Its kind of pathetic that you are seriously picking a fight with a 14 year old... But what ever helps you sleep at nite i guess..........

now one has to realize that individualinput-er is only 14yrs. because of how annoyed they get when they read something they don't like. I would have to wonder why a parent would allow their 14 yr. old to chat on a topix site like this anyway. surely there are better thing's a 14 yr.old could be doing. like for instance, read an educational book, twiddle their thumbs, clean their room, get a life, so on and so on. whatever normal 14 yr. old's do. if indeed individualer thinks people's thought's are simple mindedness, they could maybe make BETTER use of their time. maybe donate their time at a local animal shelter, care for the aged, babysit, or many-many more community services. I really don't think that anyone care's if you back down or not, because ever person is entitled to their own thought's. wether children agree or like them, make's no difference one way or another. so certainly don't back down, maybe concern yourself with thing's that a 14 yr. old should be concerned with. my dear- do you even know what the word DOUCHE mean's? if so, think before useing it again. with this being said, I'm sure we will hear from you in the future. anticipating that.

you just did try to tell people what to do. you're right, you can't tell people what to talk about. It's their decision. if you don't care what giddy is talking about, why put your ( i live in a fog ) two cent's worth in? are you cutting some people down, or just trying to?

are you kidding me, I am exactly that. A 14 year old wasting her time. I'm unaverage correct, but in a way I am average. I have a job, I go to school, maintain a good gpa and have friends to hang out with and have fun with, I rebel from my parents for 'tis my natural nature. I am my own individual person,so don't bother sterotyping me to the rest of the "teeny boppers" of the world. I'm not like them, in most ways.
and you say I should have a life to live at the time, but I'm 14. How much could a 14 year old do? I have little will power and I couldn't care less to donate my time. I'm selfish, and I could be exercising but I'm weaker than most. I can't be too active for too long and I don't know my limits. I have hobbies, which include multitasking and as I type this now I'm also adding on to a book I'm writting and interacting with my 3 dogs, all the while watching a movie with my family. I do all this while ... I realize ... shouldn't YOU have a life? no restrictions such as parents, but restrictions such as a job? although you type all of this and pay attention to this like you haven't a care in the world? unless ... you're doing this in the freetime you could be using on making a family, or spending with your family? or working ... but then of course, you may be slacking on your job -- if you have a job at all -- simply to do this, showing you lead an unsuccesful or upsetingly small life. I'm 14.(as stated many a time before) I have to be home by 10 and in bed by 11, I'm at school from 7:45am - 4pm I'm in the band so I'm busy after school from 6-8pm and I have a job so I'm working all weekend every weekend. I have a life me dear friend, and I find time for this as a simple ... hobby, if you will. You on the otherhand should be leading a full and successful life, with your being perfect and all. Am I right, or wrong? SO you should discontinue your bothersome interest in this thread because it's obviously distressing you. We can't have that, now can we?

take your happy little ass and get back to your perfect little life because you haven't any neccesary concern in the point of this thread. All you're doing is causing chaos and disruption. It's unwanted and unneccesary. Thank you, and have a nice day!

BLAH-BLAH-BLAH!!! OH-my dear, I have a wonderful life. let's see--- worked 42yrs. at the railroad (happily retired), grandchildren, great-grandchildren, oh!--- and all the time in the world to do EXACTLY what I want to do. take my HAPPY-ASS-you say, back to my perfect world? well now- you're exactly right about that. why- if I was any happier, I would burst. now- one thing I'll promise you---I will give some thought on your REQUEST about discontinueing this thread. OPP'S--- gave it some thought and decided NOT. while you want to come off sounding SUPER-SMART, watch out little one. here's your match. only diff is I will not waste everyone's time consoleing a kiddy-trooper. so- with this being said,--- nighty-nite!
