If you recieved a speeding ticket, in a small town, after January 1, 2013 then there is a good chance that you were robbed! If the officer that wrote you the ticket was UNCERTIFIED and you paid the ticket, you were robbed!

The Mayor orders the Police Chief to send out his UNCERTIFIED officers to run radar and write speeding tickets. The people that get tickets, go to court and the Judge tells them that they have to pay a fine. This whole process is illegal because of two words - UNCERTIFIED OFFICERS!
First and foremost, as of January 1, 2013, any police officer in the state of West Virginia that uses radar and writes speeding tickets MUST be a CERTIFIED officer AND they MUST be CERTIFIED in the use of radar. THEY MUST HAVE BOTH! Any certified officers that were not radar certified had until January 1, 2013 to get this radar certification or they can not use radar. This can be verified in the WV Code 17C-6-7. This can also be verified by calling the WV Department of Justice at Charleston, WV.
If you got a ticket from an UNCERTIFIED officer, take it to court. The Judge has to drop the ticket because it was written illegally.

If I put a gun on my side and demanded money from people, I'm quite certain that I would be arrested. THESE SMALL TOWNS DO THAT EVERY DAY AND GET BY WITH IT!
In my opinion, I think that an UNCERTIFIED officer should be charged with Defrauding the Public and the Mayor, Judge and Police Chief should be charged with Conspiracy to Defraud the Public. Again, that's my opinion.
These people should be held accountable for their actions, just as we are.

FYI - Rhodell only has UNCERTIFIED officers. If you get a speeding ticket in Rhodell, they have to drop the ticket.
Sophia has a mixture - Some are CERTIFIED and some are UNCERTIFIED.
I am not sure about Lester and Mabscott.

You are right my friend. I work near Rhodell and I got a speeding ticket one day. I talk to my friend that works for Rainelle police. He said same thing. If cop was not certified then ticket was ilegal. I went to court and told them I wanted to dispute the ticket because the cop was not certified. They drop ticket on the spot.

Lester only has the police chief.
Mabscott also has a mixture.

RHODELL will always only have uncertified officers because that's what they want. If they had a cop that knew what he was doing, then most of the town would end up in jail. The mayor would be first in line to go! Ordering an employee to break the law is a crime in it's self. Breaking the law to finance a town - somebody needs to go to jail.

What do you mean "breaking the law to finance a town?" What employee was ordered to break the law? And which Mayor are you talking about? You must know something nobody else knows about. Lol, that town is so screwed up, I'm surprised they all aren't in jail.

How do you know that the cop down there isn't certified? They have a new Mayor and another new cop now. I don't think they want cops who aren't certified but thats all they can seem to get are these guys who can't get a job anywhere else. They have tried to send a couple to the police academy but they can't ever get through it. Nobody want's to work for what that job pays I guess.

Yeah, great job mayor. lol. Once again you have managed to hire an UNCERTIFIED wanna be! The only difference between him and the other MORON, is the color of the badge. READ THE LAW MAYOR! I don't give a damn if you are President Obama, if you use radar in WV you have to be certified!

Hey mayor are you really that STUPID? Who you gonna hire next? Matt Keaton? Might as well, you hired all the rest of Teddy's rejects. People trusted you to improve this town. What a joke!

I see that I'm not the only person in town that DOES NOT agree with the mayor's choices for cops.

Yeah, when the law is enforced and you have to really hide your drug deals, you tend not to like the law. Just face it, youre not going to like anybody hired as a police officer if they do their job. I live here and feel safer than ever when we have a officer on duty now. Not so much on the cook guy, but johnson does a good job. RIGHT ON....

I don't do drugs, I don't sell drugs, I live here too, and I never said that I didn't like the law! I want this town to hire an officer that has been to the Academy, knows the law, and knows what to do in case of an emergency. Would you put your life in Cook's hands in an emergency? Probably not willingly, but that is exactly what our mayor did by hiring him. Teddy hired Cook the first time right out of high school and told him to write speeding tickets. He was here about 3 months. That's his law enforcement experience. Oh yeah, he wrecked 2 cop cars during that 3 months. Johnson was here for a little while before as well, writing speeding tickets for Teddy. Then he went to be a security guard at the boy scout camp. Not a lot of law enforcement experience. I just want this town to hire a certified, Academy trained officer that will do the job the way it is supposed to be done! I'm sick of these ticket pushing wanna be's! It's not even legal for Cook or Johnson to use radar because they are not certified!
Again, I am all for having law in town - JUST THE RIGHT KIND OF LAW!

Right on, maybe you should do some checking before posting. Chief Johnson was not a security guard at the boy scouts. He was in charge of ems and fire operations for mt hope fire dept. You see, the chief and i are good friends thru emergency services. He has saved more lives than most men i know. He worked at new york on 9-11 as well as hurricane katrina. That is just the start. Go back to 1980 and search his records. You can follow his career from news archives. Not bad mouthing you, just get to know the man before you judge. He will do the town good.

If I was misinformed, then I apologise.
As far as doing the town good - I hope so.
As far as using radar and writing speeding tickets - STILL NOT CERTIFIED AND NOT LEGAL!

Might should keep checking. He is certified in radar and can right tickets.
